01:00That's a way to try to open up this Bucs defense right you start with a little play action throw it to dulcet knowing that you're going to get your main guy pro bowler Devon H.N. involved. He's been phenomenal for the offense. He's been their offense all season long and just really love the way that he's been able to play literally every position out there wide receiver running back. He can pass protect. He can run the ball can catch the ball.

03:26And you just look at Antoine Winfield and the way he's running with the wide receiver.
03:30So you think of safeties as just deep third players right and they can't actually cover.
03:35Well he's running with one of their better wide receivers Malik Washington stride for stride.
03:40Quinn Ewers tries to get it over the top of him.
03:42He makes a beautiful play on the football.
03:44Leads to a first three and out for the Dolphins.

10:25That's one thing we know he can do.
10:27Does a phenomenal job with that.
10:28And McMillan sits right there in the zone for an easy catch for a first down.

10:52And this is what I like about him.
10:53He retraces.
10:54Retracing means you go up towards the quarterback.
10:56You go up to his top shoulder.
10:58And then if the quarterback starts to run,
11:00you don't just keep running around and create that running lane.
11:03You trace back and then you make the sack as Bradley Chubb just did.
11:08Team leading seven and a half sacks for Chubb.

11:20Mayfield over the middle.
11:22It's a diving McMillan.
11:24That's his third catch.
11:30Now it's a first down for the Bucs.
11:33It's almost like a repeat of the previous play McMillan caught sliding in.
11:38Baker Mayfield puts it low and away.
11:40Out of harm's way.
11:41So either McMillan is catching that.
11:43It's going to be incomplete.
11:44But he's not going to take a big hit.

11:48And what you start to notice is Baker Mayfield is really keying in on McMillan.

11:56So you probably want to see them play a little more than a Bucca and Godwin.

28:09Dolphins start from the 13-yard line.

28:24And it looked like Mike McDaniel, he wanted to spread out this defense, kind of get them going east-west.
28:29They hit them over the top with the touchdown pass.
28:32And now you start to eat at them from the inside, right, with A-Chan.
28:36Because A-Chan, even though he's not a big back, he likes to run between the tackles.
28:41He has that natural running ability between the tackles.
28:45And then they bring in Daniel Brunskill, the jumbo offensive lineman right here.
28:49So, you know that they're going to be able to try and establish that run.
28:53If there was one thing they could do all season, it is run the football with A-Chan.
28:56Second down and three with Ingold leading the wing.
29:01A-Chan picks up a first down and more out across the 30-yard line on his second carry.
29:08And this A-Chan making the Pro Bowl, career highs in scrimmage yards, rush yards, and touchdowns.

29:14B. John Robinson is the only one that has more of the team's scrimmage yards
29:18and then the highest in the NFL with 5.8 yards per carry.
29:22He has been phenomenal for them this season.
29:25And we asked Mike McDaniel about him.

29:31He wants to be the best back in the NFL, period.
29:34Now, that's a tall challenge, right, with Christian McCaffrey, B. John Robinson, I just mentioned.
29:38But that's good company if you're up there with them and people are talking about you.

29:52We saw Jalen Waddell get back in the game, so that's good news for the Dolphins as well.
29:56I like how they're just really mixing in this run game.
30:01As I mentioned, they spread them out a little bit, first couple series.
30:04Now they're just really starting to attack them.
30:06And the Panthers did this last week, right?
30:08They just started attacking them in the run game.
30:10They forced the issue.
30:11Because of that, they kept the game closed.
30:13Looks like the Dolphins are starting to take a little bit of that playbook
30:16and start to use it right now.
30:21Suck it down at one.
30:22Fake to Gordon.
30:23Ewers throws.
30:24And it is caught.
30:26In Tampa Bay territory by the tight end, Dulcich.

30:34That was so close to being a sack.
30:38You have Savasier Dennis who's going in on the blitz.
30:40It's play action.
30:41He reads it.
30:42And Quinn Ewers just throws it up for Dulcich.
30:45Throws it nice and high.
30:46Antoine Winfield can't make a play on it.
30:48That is a nice execution by Quinn Ewers.
30:51Remember what Mike McDaniel told us about Ewers?
30:53He has a special feel on the pocket.
30:55Knows when to get rid of it to avoid negative plays.
30:57And we saw an example of it there.
30:59And that's the instinct, right?
31:00You can't coach that, right?
31:01You have to have that natural ability in the pocket.
31:03Ewers over the middle on first down.
31:06Pass was intended for the veteran tight end, Darren Waller.
31:11As we check in on the field with Jen.
31:14Guys, Ewers conducts himself like a wily pro,
31:17not like a rookie quarterback, that's for sure.
31:20He's been coming in early to watch film with Mike McDaniel.
31:23And he's been, of course, on quarterback's coach,
31:25Darryl Bevel's hip every time the defense is out there on the field.
31:28And he can.
31:29They have a lot of confidence in him.
31:31And several Dolphins players told me they feel like he can be the one
31:35that leads this team into the future.

31:38McDaniel also told us, Ewers is all the ingredients you look for in an NFL quarterback.

32:00As I mentioned, running the football is something Mike McDaniel knows how to do.
32:05It is his bread and butter running the football.
32:07And you're seeing how they are washing down this defensive front for the Buccaneers.
32:12They're ripping it out the back side.
32:14They're forcing the corners to come up and make a play.
32:17They're forcing the safeties to come up and make a play.
32:19If they miss a tackle, it's out the gate like you just saw.
32:23And it is not good right now for the Bucs defense.
32:25Because the run game without Ewers, forget that right now,
32:29the run game is what they need to stop.
32:31And they can't do it.
32:32It's going to be a long day.
32:33That was a career-long 32-yard run.
32:36It looks like Ewers tried to flip it to A-Chan.
32:39And it wound up back in the hands of Ewers.
32:43Yeah, it looked like it was going to be a tight end screen, right?
32:46A little slip screen to Dulcich.
32:48They did a little run pass option with A-Chan.
32:50And he was trying to flip it to Dulcich.

32:53He tried to flip it there.

32:54That looked like Yaya Diaby making a nice play.
32:57And Yaya has been their best defensive player so far.
33:00He's done a very nice job filling up the stat sheet for him on that defensive front.
33:04makes a nice play and a negative play, a much-needed negative play for the Bucs' defense.

33:17Ewers over the middle.
33:19And it's taken down inside the 5 by Dulcich.
33:23And he's brought down at the 4.
33:26Mike McDaniel is adamant to use the speed of the Bucs against him.
33:32And he just saw another screen, and now there's Jalen Waddell.
33:35He was holding his ribs, coming in and out of the lineup.
33:38He went back in.
33:39Now he's back out, going to the locker room.
33:40So that's going to be tough for the Dolphins, especially trying to stretch the field.
33:44But right now, you see Mike McDaniel, he's dialed in on the screen plays, slip screen, misdirection,
33:50everything he can to get that defense running laterally, and then hit it right where they were.

33:59And this one did not fool the Bucs.

34:05Yeah, that one made no sense.
34:07There was no creativity to that play.
34:10Dulcich is standing right here.

34:12And they're all pointing at him.
34:14All the defenders are like, hey, there's Dulcich sitting out there.
34:17And then Ewers just throws it right to him.
34:19That was a poor design of a play.
34:21I don't know if Ewers were supposed to pump fake over there and not throw it or what,
34:25but that was ugly.
34:27All the other plays look really nice.
34:28That one, not so much.

35:46So for Todd Bowles and his Buccaneers,

35:52And you look at what the Dolphins are doing, and I'm actually very surprised at the Todd Bowles defense
35:58because he had been mentioning fundamentals and stopping the run, period.
36:01Those are the two things that had to get done today.
36:03Yet they're running the football.
36:05It's not just with H-N.
36:06Jalen Wright's running the football as well.
36:08And then fundamentally, they're not sound, right?

36:11Obviously, in the run game, they're getting washed down.
36:15So that's a concern.
36:16If you're the Bucs, especially on the defensive side,
36:18that's a big concern that they have to get corrected ASAP.
