00:00Kudos.
00:01Here's Williams.
00:02Heavy pressure.
00:03He's in deep trouble.
00:04Just fires with a level.
00:05Holy God.
00:06That almost was amazing, but a little too high as Rak Yassin had the pressure.
00:11Oh, my God.
00:12There's like nobody.
00:13I mean, very few.
00:14Not nobody, but very few can make these plays.
00:17He's literally running the opposite direction and then still has enough pace on that football
00:23to drive it with so much pace that he's just out of the outstretched arms of Loveland.
00:28That would have been pretty ridiculous.
00:30Loveland's been the only guy.
00:31He's got six catches for 47 yards.
00:33No one else has more than a catch for the Bears today.
00:41Here's Manangai trying to get that ground game going.
00:44Good cut by Manangai.
00:46Works up two to 41.
00:49Be a third down and four.
00:50Look, the Bears against the Lions.
00:52Well, this year it has not gone well.
00:54Their last lead against Detroit comes in years.
00:5720-23 is the last time they let it.
01:00That's crazy.
01:01That is crazy.
01:02I mean, seven quarters basically this year.
01:04The Lions have outscored them 68-21.
01:06Yeah, they've had their number as they should.
01:09The Lions the last few years have been exceptional basically against every team in the NFL.
01:13But in the game earlier in week two, it was so one-sided with the Lions over the Bears.
01:17But today, no one was really expecting the Bears to come out this flat.
01:21One of seven on third down.
01:25Here's Lions.
01:26Back drives and it is caught.
01:28That's the first down to Luther Burden.
01:30His first catch of the day.
01:32Had that touch before.
01:34That went down as a one.
01:35That goes for ten and moves the chase.
01:37Yeah, that's the piss missile we're looking for right there.
01:39That is a hot one.
01:42And he's got...
01:43Burden's got to stick his fingers out there and try to catch it in the cold weather.
01:47Basically, a little double catch.
01:49Enough for the first down.
01:52Caleb just has some heat on this.
01:54A little mustard on it.
01:55There's a lot of mustard on there.
01:58Threws up!
02:00Madunga.
02:01Right side.
02:03Knocked backwards by the rock.
02:04You see the whistle's blown.
02:06That play is dead.
02:08Oh, progress is stopped as the final seconds of this third quarter.
02:20This run game for Chicago, which has been a dominant force for them.
02:25Third in the NFL, 150 rushing yards a game.
02:28They got 57 yards today.
02:29Yeah, hemmed up by this big-bodied defensive front.
02:34These linebackers have played aggressively down the hill.
02:36Not let this run game get going at all.
02:38Let's come in.
02:39William Seymour throw.
02:40And a completion of Burden.
02:41Room to run and a first down.
02:44He dropped down and hit Burden.
02:46And that was a beauty and a good way to end this third quarter for Chicago.
02:50With a first down.
02:51Look at that.
02:51Nice arm angle.
02:53Bears.
02:53Trying to get on the scoreboard because it's been all Lions after 3.
02:5716-0.
02:58Chicago, Chicago, that toddlin' town.
03:10Chicago, Chicago.
03:12Just feels right.
03:13Sinatra coming back for Greg.
03:16Great shot of downtown Chicago.
03:18What a great city.
03:19Bears fans not feeling so great.
03:21Even though the team's in the playoffs, they are getting outplayed in a big way today.
03:24And we got a penalty flag to start this fourth quarter.
03:32Let's see what we got.
03:36Ben Johnson looking at that play sheet.
03:38Neutral zone infraction.
03:39Defense number 78.
03:42Five-yard penalty.
03:43First down.
03:44That might be the loudest cheer of the day from the Bears' crowd.
03:47That was quick.
03:48Neutral zone.
03:49Barely had a chance to look up.
03:50Lacey's already in the neutral zone.
03:54Little momentum.
03:55You can feel it going the Bears' way.
03:56Some really nicely executed throws by Caleb Williams.
04:01Luther Burden.
04:03Things need to come alive.
04:04It's been Monungi, Loveland, and Burden lately, the rookies for the Bears.
04:08There he is again, Monungi working that left side and treks his way down to about the 25.
04:16Again, not really uncharted territory for this Bears team.
04:20We've seen them down like this in plenty of games this year.
04:23They found ways to get turnovers.
04:24They found ways to get score.
04:26And it's kind of been a magical season.
04:27But it's not necessarily the most sustainable thing in the long term.
04:32It's not the most sustainable thing in the playoffs.
04:34Can't afford to go down, you know, 16 points in the fourth quarter of the game against great football teams.
04:46It's coming.
04:47It's blocked.
04:48Williams going.
04:49It's caught.
04:50Jaday Walker.
04:52Touchdown, Bears.
04:57Nothing fancy.
05:09Here's Walker just running a post.
05:11It's cover four.
05:12The near safety bites down on the underneath player.
05:15And then Amik Robertson has to try to play over the top of that.
05:19But he recognizes it late.
05:21And Caleb sees it right off the bat.
05:24You game plan for that coverage, for that route.
05:27He got exactly what he wanted.
05:28And that was great execution.
05:30Yeah, now they'll go for two.
05:31Trying to make it an eight-point game.
05:41Expect Caleb to be rolling out one way or another.
05:43Using his legs as a threat.
05:46Give it to Mononga at center.
05:48He rolls in.
05:50And the Bears wake up.
05:52And so does his crowd.
05:53On the board, it's a one-score game.
05:56And today, Walker's second career touchdown.
05:58And the other guy says, let's go.
06:00Some life at Soldier Field.
06:02Plenty of time to go.
06:03I want you to watch the bottom of this screen.
06:20You've got two receivers.
06:21You've got Walker and you've got Burden.
06:24And then you've got to make the safety do something.
06:26Now, this safety, Maddox, should not come down on a route that's only five yards.
06:30He needs to support his corner a little bit more on that post.
06:34Robertson really doesn't have much of a chance.
06:38Usually, those safeties need to wait for the receivers to run about ten yards deep
06:42before they start squatting.
06:43He had a little underneath coverage help.
06:46But, again, that speaks to the inconsistency, again, of this secondary.
06:49They haven't played together a lot.
06:51And, you know, they've been playing so well today.
06:53That play, you know, that bites them a little bit.
06:56But still a lot of football left.
06:57One-score game, got a little action here as Tom Kennedy on the return.
07:01And up across the 30 for the Lions.
07:04Today's next-gen stats powered by AWS.
07:06Jared Goff has done great facing pressure.
07:09Yeah, and this is not an area where Goff gets a ton of credit.
07:12He just stands in there, makes a great throw there to St. Brown.
07:15He's got a little pocket presence here and finds St. Brown again.
07:19And then this one, he drifts away from the pressure.
07:21Now he feels the pressure by the defensive end.
07:24But he knows he's got the in-breaker to give.
07:26So, good job by Goff just standing in the pocket,
07:31using that lateral agility to buy himself a little bit of time.
07:34And, again, when he's got clean pockets,
07:36this guy's one of the very best in the league.
07:39AWS AI, how the NFL levels up the game.
07:42Now we'll see how the Lions respond.
07:44Blitz coming.
07:44Goff to Raymond, who's wide open.
07:46It sprints for a first down.
07:48And he goes into Chicago territory.
07:51That's a pretty good response.
07:52They're going to put him down right at midfield for Raymond with a 19-yard gain.
07:56Yeah, here's Raymond.
07:57One-on-one more man coverage, which the Bears have kind of struggled with.
08:00He's got Johnson in his back hip.
08:02And, again, Goff under pressure.
08:04Put that back on the next-gen stat.
08:06Across the field, three or four yards of separation.
08:09Perfect runner's ball.
08:10Again, this team leads the NFL in yak, yards after catch,
08:14because of throws like that.
08:18Eagles have taken the lead over Lashley.
08:21You see 17-10.
08:22That affects the Bears.
08:24Eagles win, Bills lose.
08:26Eagles have the two seed.
08:27Here's Gibbs.
08:27Left side.
08:28Gibbs still on his feet.
08:29A good run.
08:29He's going to pick up nine on that one.
08:34Yeah, nice answer by this Lions.
08:36Offense is coming out here and saying,
08:38all right, you guys can drive the ball down the field.
08:40Well, let's see what we can do.
08:42We've got a little quarterback that can drop his arm down
08:44and find open receivers.
08:46And then Gibbs leaning on that defense.
08:48Always start kind of waiting for Gibbs to just break one off
08:51and take one to the house like we saw so much.
08:53It's been bottled up a little bit.
08:55We'll see if there's time of possession that the Lions
08:57have really heavily favored him so far
09:00has worn down his defense enough to get him to the second level.
09:04Pitch to Gibbs.
09:06Looking for a seed.
09:08Stressed out pretty well.
09:09Good job by Chicago.
09:11It's Jalen Johnson and TJ Edwards there.
09:13He did not get to the first down marker.
09:20Third down territory.
09:22Also fourth down territory.
09:23So thinking they still have two downs to get this one yard.
09:31They're bringing the big back.
09:32KB, what do you think?
09:33Give it a money?
09:33So it's pretty good odds of that.
09:36Not a bad option.
09:42Don't love being in this shotgun on these burning ones.
09:45They give it to Montgomery.
09:50Oh, here comes the pass.
09:52He's in trouble, though.
09:53Looking to throw it.
09:54Bears swung it in.
09:56He's dead to rights.
09:58Goff was the intended target, but he was well covered down the field.
10:02And they got to Montgomery.
10:04And here comes the punt team.
10:05Yeah, a bit too cute.
10:10You see Brisker at the top.
10:12The veteran safety.
10:13That ball goes away.
10:15He's not buying it at all.
10:17He says, no, I'm going to stay home.
10:19I can't affect anything on the front side anyway.
10:21I'm going to do my job back here.
10:23They try to get the throwback to Goff.
10:27I told you he was going to throw it today.
10:29He did.
10:30He did.
10:30I guess those trick plays are on those calls.
10:32You may as well fire those clubs.
10:34There was a few 11 minutes left in the season to do it.
10:38Well, Bears get a stop.
10:40And look at this.
10:41They got the ball down by a score and a two-pointer.
10:43And a chance to tie things up.
10:46He has been cardiac Caleb Williams.
10:49All year long he's done this, right?
10:50The one-score games, they've been great, seven and three.
10:53And he's thrived in the late-game situation.
10:56When trailing, 18 touchdowns, three interceptions.
10:58And how about the comeback wins?
11:00Six of them trailing two minutes or less.
11:02It's the most in the history of the league.
11:04I know we've got 11-21 left, but it's almost like they get down two scores.
11:08It's like, ah, that's exactly what we want them.
11:10I don't think that's exactly what Ben Johnson wants.
11:13But it has been the way the season has gone.
11:16And usually they're getting turnovers.
11:17But it's just been when we covered our fifth Chicago Bears game.
11:23They have no quit in them, that's for certain.
11:25They've got plenty of playmaking ability to get themselves right back in these games.
11:29Backed up deep in their own territory here.
11:32You saw that graphic on that last touchdown.
11:34Caleb Williams, a single-season, best season in passing Bears history.
11:38Passing Eric Kramer.
11:39Swift's going to get the carry.
11:42I know they've talked about that stat about, you know, there's been no 4,000-yard passer in Bears history.
11:48And they're trying to get Caleb Williams to that.
11:49Ben Johnson's like, ah, it's just a number.
11:51But to Bears friends, it's like, no, it's like the unicorn.
11:54We've got to get there.
11:54You've got to get some quarterback to have average 16 games.
11:58You know, I know we're in 17, but 250, a game, doesn't seem like that much.
12:03But then again, you are in the Windy City.
12:04And these, you know, these type of outdoor stadiums in the wintertime are very hard to pass the ball consistently.
12:10Well, you've got to build these teams.
12:12Understand your climate.
12:14That's why you have a big, heavy offensive line and a hard-running game.
12:18Here's Wayne who tips it over the middle.
12:20It's Loveland again.
12:21He's having another big game.
12:22And that's good.
12:23Four first down, the seventh catch of the day for Colston Loveland.
12:27Yeah, I just guess the point of that, KB, is you're not going to come and be a Bears offensive coordinator
12:32and be like, hey, let's be the greatest show on turf.
12:34Yeah.
12:35You know, it's a metaphor for, you know, throwing the ball all over the yard.
12:38Because in these conditions, you get rain, you get wind, you get cold, you get...
12:42I saw the Cleveland game here three or four weeks ago.
12:45Minus 10 wind temps.
12:46That's not ideal throwing conditions.
12:49Someone with Caleb's arm, he can do it.
12:51Oh, bad snap.
12:52Williams all the way back to get it at the one.
12:54Sands in and walks as well as far as he can throw it.
12:57That was pretty good.
12:59Get it out of there.
13:00And there was a receiver in the area.
13:02I know the Lions are saying, wait a second, is that grounding?
13:05Well, Dean Blandino, you've been quiet.
13:06We'll bring you in.
13:07Lions, are they...
13:07They have a case there?
13:09Well, he was in the pocket, so there has to be a receiver in the area.
13:13The line of scrimmage doesn't matter.
13:14Looked like Luther Burden was in the area.
13:17And I think that's a good no-call for grounding.
13:19Yeah, within probably 10 or 12 yards, ball just goes over his head.
13:22Great job by Caleb, not panicking, and then having the wherewithal to see down the field
13:28where one of his receivers was at.
13:30That was very unrightly played by Caleb.
13:32Yeah, it could have been a disaster instead of second and 10.
13:37Here comes in.
13:38Hutchinson, Caleb Williams in some trouble.
13:40Fires up on the run, and it's incomplete.
13:44Muhammad was in hot pursuit as well.
13:46Yeah, they just had a ton of crossing routes today.
13:50Guys going from the right side of the field to the left side of the field and vice versa.
13:55And in zone coverage, which the Lions are playing much more of today,
13:58they're just running from one zone into the next zone where there's a Lions defender.
14:02So Caleb just isn't quite comfortable with what he's seeing out there and get him out of the pocket.
14:08And again, the Lions have just played super solid defense against the strengths
14:12of what so many teams have faltered against the Bears doing.
14:20Third and 10, blitz.
14:23Williams over the middle.
14:24It's caught.
14:25Komet is going to get there.
14:27Breaks a tackle, too, for Cole Komet.
14:29Down and cross a 40.
14:31Yeah, they call a zone pressure, but nobody gets home, and nobody's really accounting for Komet.
14:42I know Rodriguez is there trying to take two.
14:44He really doesn't have him in man.
14:47But because the pressure doesn't get home, Caleb can just kind of ID the coverage,
14:52sees his receivers running wide open across the field,
14:54and that ends up being an easy pitch and catch.
14:57Yeah, Cole Komet.
14:59Longest 10-year bear.
15:01First winning season for him, and he has so much in the run game.
15:04It's a big catch like that on third down.
15:06Get a little reward.
15:09He zips it out.
15:11Trying to set up some blocks for Bird.
15:12Good move from Luther Bird.
15:14Into Lions territory.
15:16It's another first down.
15:20There you go.
15:21Now it's all kind of flowing.
15:24Run game's going.
15:25Plays out of the pocket.
15:26Now you get the screen game going to Bird.
15:28And I think they went in at halftime and said, hey, we've got to get Luther Bird in the ball.
15:33Let's let him touch it.
15:34Get into the defense.
15:36So hard to get on the ground.
15:38He's one of the best yak receivers in the yards.
15:41He's got, with a doomsday absence, he's got 80 receiving yards in back-to-back games.
15:46He's making his way up there now.
15:48Raines far side.
15:50He's up to the point too swift.
15:51He makes the catch and gets hit immediately by Malcolm Rodriguez that time.
15:57Well, DJ Moore showed him being looked at or talked to on the sidelines.
16:02Let's see if anything occurred here.
16:03Let's see if he's up and walking around right now.
16:14Again, we showed you Roma doomsday out again.
16:15He's been out for a while with that chronic foot injury.
16:18Missed the last month.
16:20Hoping to have him back for the playoffs.
16:22Now we'll see on Moore.
16:24It's a key is in for him right now in the second down.
16:27Williams over the middle.
16:28Sips it in the 11th again.
16:30He's had a career game.
16:31Down to the 11th.
16:34His eighth catch.
16:35That's a season best for Colson Loveland.
16:41Great, accurate throw in the pocket.
16:44Here's Loveland right here at the top, the right side of the screen.
16:47Gets in behind Rodriguez.
16:49Another accurate throw by Caleb Williams.
16:52Perfectly on time.
16:54And that's one part of the progression that I've seen with Caleb Williams this year.
16:58When I just covered him early in the year, so many of these passes were volatile.
17:02They were everywhere.
17:02In front of guys, behind guys.
17:04Much more pinpoint accuracy late this season.
17:08On the rollout now.
17:10Look at it.
17:11Now he's just going to take off in Aurora, but it was pretty well played by Derek Barnes there.
17:16I think there was a bigger ruin, but Barnes closed it off.
17:18Yeah, something was amiss on that play, and Caleb's letting everybody know it, as the QB should.
17:28Shaking his head.
17:29It was off from the start, but decides to take off of those afterburners and still gain a yard.
17:34Yeah, it's the first time he's run today, which is unusual.
17:37DJ Moore just came back in the game, so that's good news because he's fine.
17:40A second and nine.
17:44They can get a first down at the two.
17:50Man coverage.
17:51Great opportunity here.
17:54Williams fires Loveland again.
17:56It's up at the five.
17:57He's going to be on the yard short.
17:59This will be a third down and one.
18:01Goodness, what a day.
18:03Man.
18:03It's like a great tight end.
18:07I had a little mini Gronk.
18:09Big enough.
18:10Blocks in the run game, which I really appreciate about these tight ends.
18:13I don't know.
18:14Tight ends that just catch passes or end up being glorified slot receivers, but when you
18:18stick your face in there and block defensive ends, that's what the tight end position's all
18:22about, and the Bears have two of them.
18:26Third and one.
18:26Here is Swift to Swift, cuts back, fly, flies, and Swift has a first, at least for now.
18:34Let's see what the penalty is.
18:37And it looks like it's going to be on Detroit.
18:48I think they're going to get the Lions for holding here.
18:50Holding.
18:51Defense number 94.
18:54Half the distance to the goal from the end of the run.
18:56First down, Chicago.
19:02Now you've got Swift, who's so swift in his elusiveness.
19:06Almost on the ground, on the grass, then back to the right, then back to the left with
19:11the power and authority that he's got.
19:14Yeah, you'd stop him, but it comes with the penalty, and that's the frustrating part.
19:19I like that.
19:20Swift so swift.
19:21And here he is.
19:22He is.
19:22He's a swift.
19:22Really nice.
19:23Switchy swift.
19:24First and goal for the Bears.
19:29Williams.
19:30Goes in and it is caught.
19:33Who else?
19:34Loveland.
19:35Touchdown.
19:36Let's see if he's got it.
19:47And he does.
19:49Dean, you like it?
19:50I like it.
19:51Hands underneath.
19:52He's inbounds.
19:53Looks like a touchdown to me.
19:54Yeah, great job just kind of creating a void in that space with the corner route.
19:59Loveland kind of leaks behind it and fishtails the other tight end.
20:03Great play design by Ben Johnson.
20:06Here we go.
20:06Let's see if they can tie it up.
20:07Manungai.
20:12Manungai, the bat, on the tying two-point try.
20:15Hey, we got a fan in here.
20:18We got that.
20:19Last time they handed it off to Manungai.
20:21This time they'll fake it.
20:28Williams.
20:30Looking.
20:31Throws.
20:32Held on to a caught.
20:35Cole Komet.
20:36We're tied in Chicago.
20:44They had him right where they wanted him this whole time.
20:47They've overcome a 16.4 quarter deficit.
20:5016-0, and Bears fans are flying out of their seats.
20:57Okay, this is not how you draw it up.
20:59This is Komet, the tight end, who actually catches the two-point play.
21:02He is blocking Aiden Hutchins on his play.
21:05That is the responsibility.
21:07He whiffs.
21:08He falls down.
21:09Monongai picks it up.
21:10But because he knows that Caleb has this Houdini-like quality to drift and make throws,
21:16he finds his way into the end zone.
21:19He's surprised.
21:20He caught that.
21:21Ben Johnson's surprised.
21:22He's caught that.
21:24That's just insane.
21:26It's amazing.
21:26Bears look like they were lifeless for three quarters.
21:29I mean, we've done so in other games.
21:30We see this.
21:31They come alive in the end.
21:33They're down 16 in the fourth quarter.
21:34We've come all the way back to tie it.
21:37The crowd's in it, and it's something else.
21:39Today's Domino's stat tracker.
21:41Look at the quarterbacks.
21:42Jared Goff's had a big day.
21:44Big day.
21:45The Bears.
21:45What's going on here?
21:46The Bears are saying, get into a crowd.
21:48They're up on their feet.
21:50So you see Goff's day.
21:51And then Caleb Williams, who was so quiet for most of the day, he's picked it up again in
21:55the fourth quarter.
21:56Yeah, well, he finally got loose, KB, and he's got this, you know, when he starts using
22:00his legs, his body warms up to get to the flow of the game.
22:03The entire first half, there wasn't much.
22:05And oh, yeah, little seven nation army.
22:08Get him going.
22:10Look at Roma Dunze.
22:10He's like, let's go.
22:13Man, this play's going to be fun next week for a playoff game.
22:18Who's going to come out on top on this regular season finale, though?
22:26Here is Goff.
22:29Going to float one out to Gibbs.
22:30Just missed him.
22:31Tried to get him on the fly, and it's incomplete.
22:34We've got a game break.
22:35That one is basically for the right to play the Panthers in that 4-5 game.
22:40If that happens, the 49ers would be the sixth seed.
22:44Packers are locked into the seventh.
22:45The Eagles are now tied with Washington.
22:49And again, the Bears control the two seed.
22:51If they win, they get the two.
22:52You got all that?
22:53Good.
22:53Well, I'm glad you got all this figured out, KB.
22:55I have no clue.
22:57We'll rehash it again.
22:59Goff, trouble over the middle.
23:00St. Brown makes the catch, but it works all over him for a short game.
23:05It is going to be a third down and about six coming up.
23:08Yeah, you feel the momentum just has shifted this entire fourth quarter
23:11with really good offensive play, and that injects a lot of life
23:14into this defense as well.
23:16When we talked to Kevin Byer a few weeks ago, he said,
23:19Man, I feel like every fourth quarter, when we're close, we're going to win.
23:24That's the confidence you get coming back as many times as they have this year.
23:29The situation, they're very familiar with it.
23:33Third down, Goff over the middle.
23:44Jamison Williams running free.
23:46Turns on the Jets, and he's into Chicago territory.
23:50Boy, they have beaten the middle of the field to death on third down today,
23:54and it works again.
23:55Yeah, they call it one Robert.
23:56The safety's deep in the help, so they throw it underneath the sticks to Williams,
24:00and there's nobody in the league that can stay with him.
24:04He's too fast, Horizont.
24:05This is your help in the deep middle, so they throw it to the short middle.
24:10Good quarterbacking by Goff, and then putting Williams on that little,
24:14fast little under route, something called a shallow.
24:18Catch it, and throw him out for Durnas.
24:21Goff's over 300 yards now in the game.
24:23That's Gibbs in motion.
24:25Going to hand it off to Montgomery.
24:27Montgomery has a five-yard gain in midfield.
24:32With 4.22 to go.
24:35Yeah, and it's so interesting the amount of times that this Bears defense has played man coverage
24:40against this Lions offense in critical situations,
24:43and the Lions have answered the bell.
24:45These guys, all these guys, Raymond's made plays.
24:48Obviously, St. Brown, Williams made plays.
24:50Gibbs made plays against man.
24:52And tough offense to stop.
24:54They're giving Bears everything they can handle.
24:57Going to run it to Gibbs on the right side, and Gibbs had a first down.
25:02Good second effort there right at the marker.
25:04Now they say maybe a little bit short, at least on the near side spot.
25:08So it's going to be a third and six inches.
25:11Now, Tom, the difference in the game is simply red zone.
25:14Lions have been in the red zone four times.
25:15They've driven the ball all over the field, but they're only one of four.
25:19Yeah, and also the Bears have not got those turnovers that they've gotten all season long.
25:24They just, golf's played so well, throwing the ball.
25:27They're taking care of it in the run game.
25:30Bears defense drives on turnovers.
25:33They're still right in it.
25:34Gibbs, first down, and down to 40, where he's taken down by Billings.
25:39Again, it's still a heavy time of possession advantage for the Lions,
25:49which, again, wears on that D-line.
25:51Those body blows, handed it off to Gibbs, handed it off to Monty,
25:55extending the drives on third down.
25:56They're pretty fatigued.
25:57They just got them kind of going backwards right now
26:00to see if the Bears can create some type of negative play,
26:04which they're going to need.
26:05They still got three timeouts, so plenty of time.
26:09Here's Montgomery, left side, brings a couple tackles.
26:23David Montgomery going to stick for him, and right around the first down.
26:26We'll see where they put him out.
26:29Yeah, good run.
26:30I would love to see Monty stay in bounds there.
26:33He gets to the edge.
26:35Great job bouncing outside of the defensive end.
26:38Rashawn Wright coming up there and trying to get him on the ground.
26:41Edwards kind of shoots that gap, and then Monty feels it bounces outside.
26:45I'd love for him to just go on the ground and run it down to the two-minute warning.
26:50But not the best awareness situation by Monty at that point.
26:54There's movement there.
27:06Flags fly.
27:07Who went first?
27:10You did it.
27:10I did it.
27:11You did it.
27:12You did it.
27:12Who did it?
27:13Billings, who's gotten his money's worth a couple times today.
27:18Let's see if he was baited.
27:20Brad Rogers, what do you got?
27:22Encroachment, defense number 97.
27:26Five-yard penalty.
27:27First down.
27:29Gives the Lions a first down.
27:32And that's not entirely bad either, too, KB, because on second and one,
27:37you're probably going to get the first down anyway,
27:38so it saves them an extra 30 seconds.
27:40So kind of a smart call there by Dennis Allen.
27:44Maybe they have a call in their head saying,
27:46hey, jump offside, let him get the first down.
27:50Two-kill.
27:51Two-kill.
27:5353.
27:56The lady was it.
27:58Got to throw.
28:00And Dertson trying to get a little hit to Montgomery,
28:03but he's covered well by DeMarco Jackson who read it.
28:06It stops the clock, though.
28:08226 left.
28:09Yeah, again, the clock, you know, is still a factor for both teams.
28:13But the Lions are in perfect position to run the clock down to the two-minute warning.
28:17Again, that pass, even though it should have been a high percentage pass,
28:20it was covered well, so you've got to Dert it.
28:22You want to run this thing down as, with as much,
28:27so you get the very best excuse for as little as time as possible
28:30when they do eventually touch the ball.
28:32Goff looks at the other side of the field with miscommunication.
28:46I don't know if I say Brown was running a different route,
28:48and the clock stops again in third and ten.
28:50Yeah, definitely a miscommunication.
28:54I don't know what was going on.
28:55Goff threw the out route.
28:56He was pressured.
28:57That could have been a grounding, too.
28:59I think that's what the discussion is,
29:01and that's going to be the flag.
29:03So that is going to be an intentional grounding,
29:05which is a loss of down.
29:07Yeah, not looking to judge intent,
29:11but when you're in the tackle box,
29:13maybe Goff thinks he's got same for the out cut,
29:15which is where he's throwing it,
29:17but he's pressured.
29:18He's in the pocket.
29:19It doesn't matter.
29:19The refs don't see that.
29:20And, Dean, I know if fans are watching home,
29:22and they don't know the rule,
29:23it doesn't matter that there's miscommunication on the route.
29:26Correct?
29:26Correct.
29:26They don't take that into consideration.
29:28That's part of it.
29:30Receiver runs the in route.
29:32Ball goes outside.
29:33He has to be in the area.
29:35That was not.
29:35Dean, I would tell him,
29:36that was, he's supposed to run an out,
29:38but they didn't really care about my pleading.
29:40No, your pleading went on deaf ears.
29:43So now it's 3rd and 20.
30:00Dodge to throw.
30:01Pressure up the middle.
30:03Zips one deep in the head.
30:04He's having it.
30:05Intercepted.
30:06Kevin Byer, the lead leader, has another one.
30:09Looking for some blocks.
30:10Up across the 25.
30:16Early on the field is an interception by the defense.
30:20First down, Chicago.
30:23They do it better than anyone.
30:25The lead leaders and takeaways,
30:27and Byer, the most interceptions in the league.
30:30His seventh.
30:30Here's Sam Brown running down the middle of the field.
30:33Here's Sam Brown running down the middle of the field,
30:33and there's just nowhere to throw that ball.
30:36Edwards gets possibly his finger on it.
30:39Couldn't quite tell from that angle,
30:40but that is a tight window throw.
30:44Going for it all.
30:44No, that's Brisker tipping it up in the air,
30:47and then fired on the spot as he's been all year.
30:50Al Harris, who preaches the ball,
30:54interceptions everywhere he's gone.
30:56Oh, yeah.
30:58What a great shot.
30:59He's fired up, too.
31:01Now the Bears have a ton of time.
31:02They've got all three timeouts,
31:03and the two-minute warning left.
31:05We'll start with Mononga in the backfield.
31:11Williams had a slam.
31:13Burn and dropped the net.
31:14He was nearly picked off by Davenport.
31:16Wow.
31:17Simply incomplete.
31:20Yeah.
31:21Simply.
31:22Or unsimply.
31:23That was a run play call to the right,
31:25but Caleb and his rookie receiver burden on the same page,
31:30just not quite the execution they needed.
31:32And again, that ball's...
31:33When you're running in at the balls, too, KB,
31:34that ball's just jumping up on you so quick.
31:37So when you get a fastball and you're running in at it,
31:39that ball really is hard for the receivers to catch.
31:43Play fake.
31:44Williams in trouble.
31:45Escapes.
31:46Throws.
31:46Incomplete.
31:47There's no one there, either.
31:48Yeah.
31:49It looks like that should be a grounding, too.
31:50That's the same thing.
31:52There's going to be some more discussion.
31:54D.J. Moore was over on the near side, but not close.
32:00And Caleb Williams is pleading his case.
32:04Yeah, great pressure.
32:05There it is.
32:07That's the same exact play.
32:10Yeah, you're inside.
32:11Intentional grounding.
32:12Red tackle box.
32:13Perfect.
32:14And a great rush over the top of Dahlman.
32:16Off and down.
32:17And just nobody in the area.
32:20Oh.
32:21I mean, good job.
32:22It's worth it if you're the quarterback to throw it anyway.
32:25Because you're going to get sacked.
32:26Right.
32:26So it's just, maybe you take a shot to throw it away.
32:30You just never want to put it in harm's way and turn what would be a sack into an interception.
32:34But Caleb's done a good job of that.
32:36Just kind of dirt it.
32:37And they end up getting a call.
32:39So that makes it 3rd and 20.
32:50I have to get to the 36.
32:52Williams, far side, but now you've got a long way to go.
32:56Makes a good move.
32:57And that's going to come up well short.
32:59But that'll take us to the 2-minute warning.
33:01It'll be 4th down for the Bears when we return.
33:04Fun one at Soldier Field.
33:05Bears and Lions all knotted up at 16.
33:17Don't sweat the technique.
33:20Great song.
33:21Great game.
33:2216 all in the 4th quarter.
33:23Bears have it backed up on their own territory.
33:25And the commanders just went up on the Eagles.
33:29So even if the Bears don't win, Chicago still might get the 2-seed and play the Packers.
33:33But it is amazing.
33:34It is amazing.
33:35Watch this team play.
33:36They do so many things well.
33:37Turnovers.
33:38Late clutch play.
33:39It's like turn them on in the 4th quarter no matter what the score is, right?
33:42I'm sure that's not the way Ben Johnson wants it planned here going forward.
33:45He'd like to have a nice little leader going into the 4th quarter.
33:48But from the standpoint, you can do what you can do.
33:51These guys have a tremendous belief they can get it done when it matters.
33:55But 4th and long in the final way.
33:58Here's Rand looking to make a return.
34:01Tries to sprint to the opposite side.
34:04And gets a couple yards.
34:05Still opens his way out across the 35 with 1.41 left.
34:09Now the game break.
34:10Back to Carissa Thompson.
34:11Thanks.
34:12No matter the result here, the Eagles lose.
34:14Bears are also the number 2 seed regardless of what happens here.
34:18The AFC Denver looks like they're going to win.
34:20They're up 16-3.
34:21And they will get the 1 seed in the AFC.
34:24And the Rams up now big on Arizona, which means they will play Carolina, San Francisco with 4 of the 6.
34:30And as it stands right this second, play Philly.
34:33Got all that?
34:33Let's go.
34:35Okay, here's the Lions.
34:36Gibbs.
34:37Here's Gibbs pitching outside.
34:41Going to pick up line on first down.
34:43All right, so two timeouts, 1.31 to go.
34:46So, look, you'd love to just matriculate the ball down the field and settle for the last shot if you're the Lions.
34:52But there's three timeouts from the Bears, so they've got a lot of options, too.
34:57They could call these timeouts now.
34:58They obviously wouldn't.
35:01But that was a big game there on first down for the Lions really being able to dictate this series.
35:05Had they stopped them there for no game, Bears could have easily used the timeout.
35:09Yeah, we saw the OT presented by Ford coming up next on Fox.
35:12A lot to do in the postgame.
35:14Second and run here.
35:23Gibbs.
35:23He's got enough for it first.
35:27Give him two.
35:28Move the chains with 46 seconds left.
35:34And there's an injured bear, I believe, on this play.
35:39CJ Garner-Johnson, I think, KB.
35:43Yeah, because of that, it's going to be a timeout to the Bears.
35:46But obviously, concern for Garner-Johnson, who they signed, you know, middle of the year.
35:51He was traded to Houston from Philadelphia.
35:54He was cut after a few games.
35:55He spent a week with Baltimore and really came in and did a really nice job.
35:59All the injuries they needed him to fill in for Kyler Gordon in the nickel spot.
36:03I know he's had a rougher game today, but he's been a valuable piece, and I hope he's okay.
36:09Injury timeout in Chicago, 40 seconds left in a tie game.
36:14CJ Garner-Johnson up and walking and hopefully going to be okay.
36:19Jalen Jones will come on and replace him right now.
36:22Nick McLeod, another one of their backs, who can get in and play nickel out today with an illness.
36:25So, 42 seconds left, 16-all.
36:29Lions are out of the playoffs playing for Pride.
36:32Bears trying for the two-seed here.
36:33Lions have it, two timeouts for each squad left and a first and ten.
36:37And realistically, they're about 15 yards from the field that's right.
36:4215 yards, 20 yards to feel really comfortable and confident.
36:45And Bates missed one before half, so he'd like to be closer than that distance was.
36:50Yeah, that was 53.
36:51Here's Goff.
36:52Over the middle and again, a completion over there to St. Brown.
36:55Now he's in field goal range and more.
36:57Slides down to 25, and there you go.
37:00That's it.
37:01That's it.
37:02That first down, because the injury to Gardner-Johnson took the timeout,
37:06they can now basically run it down to the end.
37:08It's just a little drift concept.
37:11Play-action fake.
37:12You get all the linebackers into the defense,
37:14and then there's a void in that second level,
37:16which St. Brown has been exploiting his entire career.
37:21What a catch.
37:22You see the play-action fake.
37:24And Goff with a little pressure as he's hung in there all day long.
37:29What a performance by him.
37:31330 yards.
37:33St. Brown, 139.
37:36They came to play.
37:38You think this game didn't mean a lot to them?
37:41It sure did.
37:43The Lions in field goal range right now.
37:48The 45-yard field goal right from here.
37:53They like to make it a little easier.
37:54Diggs on the right side.
37:56Not much, maybe two, for he stood up there.
38:00Yeah, so just run the ball down.
38:03Bears know that they may not even use this last time out.
38:09Yeah, maybe just run it down to four seconds
38:12and send that field goal unit out.
38:14I'd like to welcome those of you who just joined us.
38:17The Lions putting themselves in a position
38:19for a game-winning field goal.
38:20Been a fun game.
38:21Detroit was up 16-0.
38:23The Bears came to life in the fourth quarter.
38:25Two touchdowns, two two-point conversions.
38:27Doing what they usually do,
38:28but the Lions on this drive have been money.
38:31The big play to Aminrah St. Brown
38:33to set them up here
38:34where they have a chance to win the game.
38:37Bears trying for the two-seed,
38:38which they get for the win on Eagles loss.
38:40Here's a recap.
38:40Goff to Gibbs for a touchdown.
38:42They were dominating the first half.
38:44Then the Bears woke up.
38:47But after this, Maddox with the pick.
38:49They went on to score after that.
38:50Here's the pick-up call with Walker
38:53and then Loveland.
38:55A couple two-point conversions,
38:56including this one, the wild one,
38:58which tied it.
38:59But now the Lions will likely snap it one more time
39:03and try to win it.
39:04Maybe just try to hand the side-center of the ball.
39:08Gibbs will get off the left side
39:10with four seconds, three seconds,
39:12and that'll be the timeout the Lions need.
39:16Just if you're a Bears fan watching
39:20and you're hoping for that two-seed.
39:29Again, if you don't win this game,
39:31an Eagles loss gets you the two-seed.
39:32The significance is if you win a wild card round,
39:35you are guaranteed a home playoff game in the Divisional.
39:37It's a big deal.
39:38Yeah, big deal.
39:39Super important to play in front of your own home crowd.
39:41You saw the momentum shifted today
39:43with the Bears when they got a little momentum.
39:45They're in there in the fourth quarter,
39:46kind of stormed back.
39:48This game means a lot.
39:50The Lions really answered the bell,
39:52showed the resilience that this organization is made of.
39:55We'll see if Bates can knock it through.
40:0042 yards out, trying to give the Lions the W.
40:11Snap and hold it good.
40:13The kick is up and good,
