08:11He really can't tuck at the left, but i've seen stiff arm plenty of guys with that broken hand

08:19So you just admire this guy's toughness and i think his team's teammates admire it as well

12:35So really as I look at a lot of the big plays that have happened against the cowboys defense today
12:39It's been when they've been just in man coverage
12:41And certainly when the chargers offense have been able to spread them out that was empty formation
12:46So five wide receivers it really gives the quarterback a nice clear picture
12:51And quite honestly the cowboy secondary just does not match up against this group of skill players on the perimeter

16:48So that's the mindset regardless
16:50But I think it just certainly creates even more of a focus on how or what we doing
16:55Influencing the other side of the ball as well
16:57But more that we can possess the ball the more that we can sustain drives control time of possession
17:03Maybe that just helps our defense not have to be out there as long or exposed them as much

18:35And what when I look when I look at what this offense is being able to accomplish this year
18:38It's really impressive. Yeah, look I get brian shottenham a lot of credit as well
18:42He's got a great relationship with that they talked about this that this week, you know
18:45I think he's he's added an incredibly strong culture into that building and and brian's brought a poise and a steadiness
18:53It's really empowered a lot of these leaders more important than guys
19:01Prescott on the slant that's a connection to pickings. He loves those in breaking routes and he picks up a first down on one of them
19:08It's 13 yards messaging so important right between head coach quarterback
19:13Always trying to make sure you keep the messaging correct. We asked both coaches
19:16You know harbaugh in the playoff chase shottenheimer not the case, but what's the messaging he goes don't cheat the game

20:48I think it's fascinating to see two teams that are in kind of different places and what that messaging looks like it sounds

23:16Prescott's ability to step up watch this he steps up and he's got turpin just running with the mike backer
23:21It actually ends up being derwin james who's playing the middle the deep middle, but nonetheless
23:26Nobody's running with turpin. So if he just continues to run

23:34It's fourth down and ten and again because of where the clock is and where you're at possession wise
23:39They feel like they got to go for it on fourth and ten
23:41Here's a good thing. Look at the edges. You know, they're going to sit here and they're going to help on these edges
23:46And I think maybe Jesse Minter and Jim Harbaugh wanted to look at the offense

23:58Yeah, it was probably one of those questionable situations as of whether they're going to go for it or not

24:07But definitely make sure that these edge rushers and khalil mac and tooley aren't able just to get off on the
24:14On the ball and speed rush you and force you to have to move and slide try to solidify this pocket
24:19You talked about it those guys on those pass rush situations
24:23The chargers feel like it was the former baltimore raven adafi away who unlocked that pass rush because of the added
24:31Firepower he brings to mac and to he pull out to they feel like when they got
24:36Adafi away that completely changed their pass rush and they have been great on the field together
24:46They're on the four-man rush
24:47And here comes oway chasing prescott who gets hit as he flings it down the field incomplete
24:54And it was tui pelotu who got to prescott at the end of the play

25:04Dynamic trio this has become you said it when all three of those guys are in the game. It's problematic. There's adafi right there

27:29But it's man-to-man coverage so you're just gonna have to hold up in man coverage risk reward from the dallas defense bringing pressure

27:37He beats digs and the cowboy secondary for a big gainer and a first down
27:45Big return game for quinton johnston 25 yards so if you watch digs right here trailing
27:52Quinton johnston he just ends up staying behind him
27:54I think you just got to be more aggressive and get over the top and then he tries to undercut
27:59But quinton johnston is just too fast once he puts his foot in the ground if you locate that ball correctly

28:07That's going to be a big conversion every time quinton johnston has been there down the field threat today

32:58And it's all going to lead into eagles and bills in what is a crucial game especially

33:51And what that does is just tunes up the pass rush you're more limited in your playbook as to what you can do
33:57And unfortunately that got them off the field both times stopped on fourth down as a result of those penalties sometimes and oftentimes
34:03It's a game of inches sometimes it's a game of 15 feet five yards here or there
34:07Makes such a difference in what ends up as a result in a particular play

37:15That sealed the game last week and essentially seals the game this week, too
37:18And you see that smile he or they call him the juice they say he is all energy is the engine
37:26Behind that defense and and really amazing just when you look at his skill set the position that he plays yes
37:31He's drafted as a safety, but he's really become this box, you know nickel safety linebacker. He's just responsible for so much so much communication
37:40such a playmaker for that defense
37:44Back to the ground game and haskins to the line to gain
37:48Again, we we i i pose the question to you like this feels like a nice litmus test for the chargers defense, right?
37:54They're going up against one of the elite offenses in the nfl that offense looked very elite in the first 30 minutes
38:00But what an adjustment made by jesse minter jim harbaugh and the personnel for la's defense a nice
38:07Turnaround and maybe a sign of more things to come as they get closer to the playoffs and and the biggest thing was just how they took away
38:14Their two best players, you know
38:15That's the number one rule of defense is don't let the other team's best players beat you right so
38:21Roll the coverage over the top of george pickens and cd lamb
38:24Especially after what you saw them do in the first half and make the other players beat you
38:29Or you just find ways to create negative plays unfortunately for the cowboys. It was really the the penalties

39:54This is maybe justin herbert's best game of the season. It's his best pastor rating. It's a 300 yard performance
40:01As you mentioned 11 sacks against a couple of good defenses in casey and philly the last two weeks, but this offensive line despite the revolving door
40:09Hangs in holds on and protects herbert to the tune of three total touchdowns

41:21Look, he had built an entire package, you know, that was around micah parsons
41:25And all of a sudden micah parsons departs so that that package goes away, you know, you'll you get kenny clark out of the deal
41:32But then you just look at everything that happened with the injuries the young secondary
41:36You're able to go out and get jadabian clowny, you know a couple games in the season
41:39You get quinnon williams and logan wilson right around the trade deadline
41:43Overshown was hurt for a part of the season. He came back. He's a difference maker
41:46So look, they have some good pieces of the defense and they have and they have two first round picks this year
41:51So I would I would
41:52Foresee them investing a lot into that defensive side of the ball probably in the secondary
41:58As I think that they do have some pieces up front and a top-tier linebacker and overshown
42:02Who just continues to get better and better and seems to be a real vocal leader with this team
