The result of a collision between two freight trains in northeast Poland early Monday morning.

Local officials say the trains collided after one car derailed, striking the locomotive of an oncoming train.

Seventeen of 32 tankers carrying oil and petrol were said to be on fire.

Two people were wounded in the blast, but are reported in stable condition.

Over 30 firefighters were on site working to extinguish the blaze.
