A train collision in North Dakota causes a major fire and series of explosions, sending a mushroom cloud deep into the sky.

The collision happened in the eastern part of the state, just a mile outside of the small town of Casselton.

Officials said it was just after 2 p.m. local time when a westbound train carrying soybeans derailed and an eastbound 104-car train hauling crude oil ran into it.

Aerial video shows the smoke drifting across the horizon.

Oil can be seen from above burning in the snow.

There were no reports of any injuries.
