Alexandre Tucoulat's Fatal Crash @ Rallye Régional Des Noix 2022 (Aftermath)

French rally driver Alexandre Tucoulat, 35, lost his life on Wednesday, 26 October 2022, during a reconnaissance session for the 44th edition of Rallye Régional des Noix de Firminy, also known as Rallye Régional des Noix, scheduled to be contested the next week.

During reconnaissance on closed roads to traffic, on the course of a special stage of the rally, Tucoulat lost control of his Renault Clio Williams which left the road and crashed into a tree in the territory of Chambles, department of Loire in central France. His 73-year old father, who acted as his co-driver, was taken to Saint-Etienne hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Alexandre Tucoulat was a member of ASA (Association Sportive Automobile) Ondaine. He made his rallying debut in 2007 as co-driver to his brother Vincent. Alexandre raced actively as driver and co-driver and won his class in rallies several times. His best results were fifth places just in the Rallye des Noix de Firminy in 2021 and in the Rallye Régional de la Côte Roannaise in 2022.
