PAGASA: 'Ester' maintains its strength as it slow down over PH sea

Tropical Depression Ester maintained its strength while slowly moving northward over the Philippine sea, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, Saturday, July 30.

As of 5 p.m., Ester was estimated at 575 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph. Ester is forecast to gradually accelerate northward and may exit PAR by Sunday afternoon.
