Hollywood Dance Orchestra - Just For You
This pseudonym was used for many orchestras, but in this case it appears to be an alias for Billy James. Now even Billy James is an ambiguous credit since there were two homonymous persons active in the music business at that time. Here we are hearing the American bandleader, arranger, composer and sheet music editor. During the same period however, the Australian jazz pianist and composer William (aka Billy) James was also performing and composing. This is the reason why sheet music bearing the name Billy or William James could be composed by either of them. Sometimes the editor and/or edition city suggest who is the real author, but not always. Anyhow, this catchy tune was recorded in 1927. Vocal by Harold 'Scrappy' Lambert.
