Hit Of The Week Orchestra - Just One More Chance (new copy)

This is a mere reposting of my original upload because the file seems to have got damaged on the DM servers and doesn't play properly anymore. The Hit of the Week Orchestra was a studio band of the Durium Company, that sold ¢15 cardboard discs during the 1930's Depression. it was led by Fred Hirsch, and gathered in the Durium studios in the old McGraw-Hill Building to make records. The musicians were chosen from a group of “second line” studio musicians that played in numerous bands in and around New York City for radio and studio bands. Because an administration fails we can only guess what musicians played on every record. Nevetheless thanks to the warmly recommended website durium.opweb.nl, we have an idea of the musicians who regularly played at the sessions. The vocal on this outstanding record made in 1931 is by Scrappy Lambert.
