Albert E. Short & His Tivoli Syncopaters - Down In Sweetheart Town

Surprisingly little is known about this Chicago based band led by Albert Short. Most personnel remained uncredited. However, it is known that clarinet, alt saxophone and soprano saxophone player Wayne King made his first recordings with them. The orchestra waxed a dozen of titles in 1923, including the hot tune presented in this video one. It was composed by Short himself.
