Thai 'murder babes' jailed for 127 years after killing colleague

The so-called Thai murder babes who butchered a pretty karaoke bar colleague have been jailed for a combined 127 years.

Preeyanuch Nonwangchai, 25, and Kawita Ratchada, 26, strangled bisexual bar girl Warissara Klinjui, 23, after an argument last May.

The two friends chopped up Warissara's body and stuffed it in black bin bags before burying it in a shallow grave in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

They fled to neighbouring country Laos and looked for work in massage parlours but they were arrested while out shopping for designer clothes.

Shockingly, pictures emerged of them in police custody laughing, smoking, and posing for selfies with star-struck officers after the case gained notoriety. The gang were jailed for a combined 127 years over the grisly murder which had earlier led to them being dubbed the ''murder babes'' and the ring leader Preeyanuch called ''butcher Praew''.

In the video, Preeyanuch, accomplice Kawita Rachada, 26, and Apiwan Satayabundit, 28, were seen stepping off the prison bus. Preeyanuch and Kawita were sentenced to life in prison reduced to 34 years and six months each after they confessed and co-operated.

Apiwan was found guilty of conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to destroy and hide the body, and taking methamphetamine, and was handed 33 years and nine months.

In the video, they are followed by Jidarat Promkhun, 23, who was sentenced to one year for receiving the victim's stolen phone.

Male member Wasin Namprom, 22, was jailed for 23 years, four months and 20 days.
