00:00 This video was recently captured in Indonesia and this is Mount Ibu. The volcano is now erupting
00:06 for the second time in only a few days, giving its first show last Friday. Now it is erupting again,
00:12 sending ash some 3.1 miles into the atmosphere during a five-minute-long burst.
00:17 Head of Indonesia's Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center issued a statement after
00:22 the most recent eruption, saying that the alert status for the volcano will remain where it was
00:26 after the initial eruption, with the organization keeping it at its second-highest level. That means
00:31 that any activities within a three-mile radius around the volcano are now prohibited. They are
00:36 also recommending masks and glasses if ash begins to fall on occupied areas. Even still, as eyes
00:42 currently remain on this evolving eruption, there have been others in the area recently as well.
00:46 Just a couple of weeks ago, the Ruang volcano also erupted, releasing a lava flow and forcing
00:51 the evacuation of 12,000 people. So far, there have been no evacuation orders for the areas
00:56 immediately surrounding Mount Ibu. Indonesia resides on the Pacific Ring of Fire,
01:01 one of the most volcanically active hot spots on Earth.
