Sudans restart shared oil production

Until production was stopped last year, oil accounted for 98 percent of South Sudan's revenue. Sudan was less economically dependent on oil, but the shutdown had dramatic consequences there too. Fifteen months since oil last flowed through the pipelines, South Sudan's minister for oil led a ceremony to mark resumption of oil production. The economic benefits that oil production will bring to both Sudans is expected to improve diplomatic relations between the two as well. Al Jazeera's Anna Cavell reports from Thar Jath, South Sudan.
