The city of Mozart or Manchester
To describe Salzburg as the centre of the electric indie scene would definitely be an exaggeration. Or maybe it is just too early to call it that. For Paul Konarski, the front man and mastermind of a very promising electronic project THE HELMUT BERGERS is from the city where the hopes of musicians are mostly nipped in the bud unless you are wearing Mozarts wig. In spite of that, or maybe because of that, Las Vegas Records has decided to offer the band a musical haven.
All in all, THE HELMUT BERGERS are what one would call a RocknRoll-Band, who - just like their name giver - accept the ups and downs, only to find out in the end that they did the right thing.
Sweet Sensation (album)
After a withdrawal from the stage and spending a lot of time fiddling on the computer and the guitar, the debut album Sweet Sensation was created. This album impresses through its fair balance. Not only has Paul Konarski written all the songs and arranged the sound, he also got the right musicians on board putting a face on the sound. With the keyboard player Monika Konarski, guitarist Johannes Gierlinger, drummer Sebastian Roesch and bass guitarist Martin Leixnering, the five, with probably the most suitable band name of the decade: THE HELMUT BERGERS, invite to dance in every club.
