There are plenty of pundits and politicians who will tell you that they saw the credit crunch coming, but nobody listened. Well, in most cases they are exaggerating a bit, but one man who really can claim to have warned us all for years is the British politician Vince Cable. He joins Sir David to talk about the credit crunch. Plus, last week Veronica Lario, the wife of Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian prime minister, announced in an open letter that she was divorcing him because she was "fed up with seeing him with minors" after he attended an 18-year-old model's birthday party, and called his idea of having young, attractive female MEP's "shameless rubbish". But his popularity is still on the rise and Berlusconi does not seem too worried about his wife's allegations. So what kind of a man is Silvio Berlusconi? John Peet, the Europe editor of The Economist, and Nancy Dell'Olio, the Italian-American lawyer who helped Berlusconi on his 1994 campaign, join the show.
