Yemenis demand all vestiges of Saleh removed

In Yemen, thousands took to the streets of Sanaa with a demand for the country's new president: Get rid of everything linked to Ali Abdullah Saleh.

President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi reform efforts have been complicated by the fact that his predecessor's family and friends still hold key military and security positions.

Hadi has had several minor victories including forcing Saleh's half brother to resign his post as head of the Air Force earlier this week. The commander stepped down but not before shutting down the capital's airport and grounding all flights.

Many in the crowd say they fear a backslide if Hadi doesn't purge all vestiges of the man who ruled the country for 33 years.
