The classical Chinese dance and music company Shen Yun Performing Arts held its first show in Kitchener, Canada on New Year's Day. Our correspondents caught up with some audience members who were touched by the messages in the show.

Anna Wilk was among the audience members who watched the classical Chinese dance and music show Shen Yun at the Centre In The Square theatre in Kitchener, Canada over the weekend.

She says the show was breathtaking and the dancing phenomenal.

[Anna Wilk, Policy Analyst]:
"It is beyond my expectations. It is absolutely breathtaking. So the choreography, the way that they easily tell the story through the movement of their bodies and dance is phenomenal. And I've heard nothing but great reviews, last year when they did the show in Ottawa, so I made sure to catch it this year."

Gordon Ness is the owner of an interior design company.

[Gordon Ness, Interior Design Company Owner]:
"The costumes, the colors, the designs, the background is just totally amazing... It really takes you in to the timing of the figurines coming out of the backdrop. The real person coming on stage is phenomenal. And I don't know what to say. It is the greatest show I have ever seen. I would recommend it to anybody."

He says he wants to come back to see Shen Yun again.

[Gordon Ness, Interior Design Company Owner]:
"It's a very intense show. But at the same time very, very relaxing. So, yes, I would definitely come and see the show again."

For Wendy Ness, the performance brought out a new respect for the Chinese culture.

[Wendy Ness, Audience Member]:
"This performance is one in a million. It gives you a new found respect for the Chinese culture and I just can't get over the intensity in the eyes as they dance and look at over the crowd."
