Ted Black & His Orchestra - It's A Long Time Between Kisses

Ted Black's Orchestra was one of those wonderfully sweet bands that is sadly forgotten today. He formed his band in 1929, keeping most of the original musicians when it disbanded in 1943. The band toured, recorded, signed on to a few radio shows and even appeared on Broadway for the 1931 musical Bally Hoo. Author Roger Kinkle wrote Black's band, "left it's mark mainly with excellent recordings of the early 1930's". This great record was made in 1931. Personnel is unknown, but the vocalist is Tom Brown.
