The project establishes a special Bayanihan (Solidarity) Banking Window (BBW) within Banco de Oro, the largest universal bank of the Philippines. This window will facilitate financial intermediation among its small-and-medium enterprise member-clients through a Banco de Oro Cash Card (BaCC). BaCC is a debit card connected to the corporate internet banking system, ATMs, mobile phone and point of sale facilities. BaCC will provide an opportunity for micro-entrepreneurs and low-income households to pool small savings for investment in projects of SMEs, thus helping to create jobs and increase household income.
