00:00been played in a Parisian downpour and on a pitch covered in Manchester hail but tonight it takes
00:08place at the centre of a storm match-winning turn from the bench at Anfield and Erling Haaland
00:14can claim a page all for himself yet again rested as well ahead of the fixture against
00:21Le Mans at the weekend is back in the starting lineup. Ruben Diaz switched on and necessarily so
00:33wrestling a bit of control here Embele, Zaire Emery
00:42darker shade of blue dominate the numbers game in there
00:52that was quite extraordinary for Manchester City
00:57yeah there's a lot of players in and around Safinoff he's get gets up for the ball but only just
01:03gets
01:03enough on it to touch the the crossbar and Semenyo can't get over the top of the ball
01:09you can see the corner it's right on the top of Safinoff Gaze trying to put him off
01:16just does enough
01:20it's difficult when you're trying to jump through bodies and then Semenyo just can't get over the top
01:25of the ball well they make this look so easy and it's not
01:30on to Desiree Douay and he's beaten Donnarumma
01:37and after a major escape at the other end
01:40and this is Dembele
01:42and they're in the mood
01:45Douay
01:45oh that's brilliant it's absolutely magnificent
01:51Ousmane Dembele makes it to
01:55the rest certainly feels worthwhile
01:58and there is a genuine sense of shock
02:00but there has to be
02:03a sense of admiration
02:08well that's a good deflection
02:21Bettina well he's been afforded the chance to shoot
02:26this was the man who denied them that
02:29in the United States last year
02:34she denies them three points tonight
02:36that's a beautiful delivery again
02:39and Hakimi fractions away from finishing the job
02:43what a run by Hakimi just gets in between the two defenders
02:46but again Manchester City they've got to get closer
02:49Kuzinoff's got to try and stop the cross originally
02:53well they were bordering on the statuesque Manchester City
02:59and they may yet pay further still
03:01Bettina
03:06well that surely is job done
03:22oh and it was Gvardiol and Gaye arriving
03:26and Gvardiol
03:28oh we should have not seen that enough from City
03:32well on a night when Manchester City no doubt hope to show
03:37defiance
03:37and embody a siege mentality
03:41the mood is rather bleak
03:44the European champions have shown
03:53so Shirky
03:55Ruben Diaz
03:56Jeremy Doku
03:58off
03:59Buwadi
04:01Mateus Nunez
04:01and Ilyman Njai
04:03on
04:07Safanov very much staying at home
04:09it proved to be
04:11the right decision as Gvardiol got his head to it
04:15here is Semenyo
04:21well enter Fernandes
04:26could have been
04:26and he certainly feels it should have been
04:28he's got to hit the target there
04:30you said
04:31a little bit earlier on
04:32he's picked up some brilliant positions
04:34they just haven't found him
04:35this time they find him in between two defenders
04:38tries to head it downwards into that far post
04:41can you head it back across goal
04:43big first thought it's forward
04:48Anderson
04:50oh and it falls for Ilyman Njai
04:56more sharp reaction from Safanov
05:05and City asking questions
05:08and Jai
05:09teasing
05:11and Erling Haaland
05:13writes a new page
05:15in the Matches the City record books
05:22oh and just like that
05:24Acleuch
05:24and Donnariver can't keep it out
05:30and the City revival is short-lived
05:35Paris Saint-Germain
05:36have a three goal
05:38demonstrating a high level of confidence
05:39even if it didn't come off
05:41this is Semenyo
05:44Vitinha, Willian, Paco
05:47come to meet him
06:00oh and that could go anywhere
06:02it's Gvardhio who got the flick
06:06but a terrific rescue act
06:09from Willian Paco
06:10that's a brilliant bit of defending
06:12that he just sees
06:17turned on by Semenyo
06:21oh he's giving it that hammer
06:27from a player known for fierce commitment
06:29Enzo Fernandez
06:30yeah and he was just counting
06:32I think he was saying
06:33how many times
06:34we've got
06:37well undignified moment
06:38for Svenja Blonsky
06:41Haaland coming in
06:44well how many times is City
06:46going to hit the woodwork tonight
06:49really good delivery
06:50into the box from Manchester City
06:53Haaland again
06:53great movement
06:54in between two defenders
06:56does everything right
06:57heads it back
06:58across goal
07:00his leap
07:00he's able to stay in the air
07:03and frankly hope for the best
07:05Buwadi
07:06Semenyo
07:07Enzo Fernandez
07:08Buwadi
07:09Haaland
07:14well it could be on again
07:19City have a second
07:21and then Ferran Torres
07:24trying to get it away
07:27but it's going to keep coming back
07:31Mateus Nunes
07:33Haaland Patrick hunting
07:37it's another big chance
07:39isn't it for Haaland
07:41he does everything
07:42that he possibly can
07:43he's on the stretch
07:44he's just trying to hit it back
07:47where it's come from
07:48Sapunov does so well
07:50to get himself across
07:51can't believe it
07:52can they
07:53both of them
07:55against Fettinia
08:02Ferran Torres
08:04Nuno Mendes
08:08penalti
08:14absolutely drift away
08:16from Manchester City
08:18yeah he's saying he doesn't
08:20touch him
08:23for Donnarumma
08:26and he meets the challenge
08:27Ferran Torres
08:30unsuccessful from the spot
08:31it's a real tame penalty
08:34isn't it from
08:34Torres
08:36guess is the right way
08:37it's not in the corner
08:40it's an easy one for Donnarumma
08:42it's been a bit more of a
08:44midfield slugfest
08:45in the second half
08:47the victory belongs
08:49to the reigning champions
08:54so far ahead of
08:55and it
