00:28I'm going to take the meat in the smartphone.
00:42We've been on our toes the last week, you know, maneuvering and everything with everything
00:46that's going on.
00:47It's been kind of crazy.
00:48Really busy.
00:49Routine, our normal day-to-day operations haven't changed, we still fly.
00:53Our normal flight schedule, day in, day out, night in, night out.
00:57A little bit more of a heightened alert status, so as you guys have seen earlier, if they
01:01call away, launch alerts, you know, we have different times to get alerts on the cats.
01:05That's really the only thing that's changed for us, other than that, it's just our business
01:08as usual.
01:09A lot of it is controlled chaos, right?
01:11A lot of different parts moving together, working in harmony to ensure that aircraft take off
01:17and recover correctly and safely, right?
01:21The ABHs, the handlers of the aircraft, are the ones that are directing the aircraft on
01:26the flight deck.
01:26The ABEs, the equipment managers essentially, are the ones that are ensuring the equipment
01:32is good to launch and recover the aircraft.
01:35Everybody is doing their part up here in their own separate environment, but it's all working
01:40together to do one thing and that's go execute the mission.
01:42Get aircraft in the air to go do their thing and then recover them after they're done and
01:46come back.
01:47Out here, fatigue is one of them, sure, but we make sure that our personnel are taken care
01:51of as best as we can.
01:53We have the resources to ensure that people are mentally there, that they're taken care
02:00of emotionally, spiritually even, with services every day of the week, it's something, right?
02:07We have clubs, we have gatherings, social events.
02:13Just recently we got asked about donations for a movie night for Halloween coming up.
02:17So there's different ways that we take care of our people.
02:20Large amounts of fuel and goods move through the Strait of Hormuz every day before we had
02:28a conflict.
02:29A blockade is an action that stops the movement of goods by sea.
02:36And we are stopping the movement of goods by sea that are going in and out of Iran.
02:41So I would say lots of challenges.
02:43There are threats that are challenges, but there are also logistics that are challenges.
02:46And for longer deployments, there are conditions that are challenges in terms of quality of
02:52life.
02:52That's a focus area for us, particularly how logistics and the ability to contact home and
02:58receive mail.
02:59Some of those things affect how sailors hold up out in this kind of environment.
03:04There has been strikes on a variety of ships in this area.
03:08Those have all been unsuccessful.
03:11And I can tell you that reason is 100% due to our sailors on this ship.
03:18Their professionalism with their jobs, our work as a professional military has been outstanding.
03:25We are definitely ready for any threat at a variety of levels.
03:28And I think the training that we have has prepared us for what we are doing right now.
03:34Whether it's the individual sailors, the aircraft, or the ship itself, we are fully capable,
03:40fully ready right at this moment.
