00:0016, 17, and Camera unable to get through,
00:03but of course we do have the two DRS zones
00:05where Camera will be trying to use those to get a position.
00:07So multiple lines through that first section of corners
00:11left all of the drivers thinking, after you, after me,
00:14we're not exactly sure, and as a result,
00:17we've only had a shuffle behind Mari Boyer.
00:21Oli Gertha is descending back through this leading pack,
00:24but actually that has allowed him to gain a little bit of tyre temperature as well.
00:28Gabriele Mini and Sebasti Montoya are now in the pit lane.
00:32Gabriele Mini is in that championship fight as well.
00:35Let's see where he feeds out.
00:37There's Martinius Stenshaw.
00:39He'll be comfortably in front of his championship rivals, won't he?
00:43Gabriele Mini, they've played a very good tactic there.
00:46But, oh, Camera around the outside.
00:48Oh, and there goes Gertha flying into the wall,
00:52and that was very aggressive from Rafa Camera, perhaps too aggressive.
00:56Oli Gertha is out the race,
00:57and Nikola Solov will surely go driving by him there.
01:00Rapid Camera just a little bit too eager to make a position.
01:04Somehow kept the position.
01:05Will this be a safety car, though?
01:07And you've got Beganovic and Dunn,
01:08Fittipaldi and Dirksen, who are yet to pit.
01:11Surely this will need the intervention of the safety car,
01:13which will gift them track position
01:16when they come into the pit lane ahead of this battle.
01:20Yep, dams, road in, high-tech.
01:22They will all be preparing to receive those drivers.
01:25They'll be on the phone to them now.
01:27You can see the top six yet to make those compulsory stops,
01:30but they will be looking to come in on this lap,
01:33surely, with Gertha in the barriers.
01:35And here they come.
01:36Beganovic on pit lane,
01:37but we haven't yet got the full safety car boards out,
01:40so the field can continue at reasonable pace.
01:43Now we do,
01:44so they'll be controlled by the earliest arrival times.
01:46This is dream ticket for Beganovic, Dunn and Miata.
01:50Fittipaldi and Dirksen will now surely follow suit,
01:53as will Intrapu-Vizak, having made a pit stop early.
01:56Yeah, this has worked out very nicely for them.
01:58The pace that Dino was setting was very good, as was Dunn,
02:02but this is very good in particular for Rotom and Miata.
02:06It's now a race in the pit lane.
02:08Rodin gets to work quickly on Dunn's car,
02:10and he will come back out just behind Beganovic.
02:15You can see in the background there is Miata,
02:17and away in the background will be Stenchon,
02:21but Fittipaldi is going to gain.
02:23Dirksen is going to gain.
02:24Intrapu-Vizak, well, there you go.
02:26It was a tactical pit stop earlier, wasn't it,
02:29before the six-lap mark, and it's worked for him.
02:33That's absolutely superb.
02:35The driver who didn't even take part in qualifying.
02:37So the pit lane loss, massive.
02:40And the gain then, of course, of pitting under the safety car,
02:44even bigger because of the length of the pit lane here.
02:48So you've got Beganovic, Dunn, Miata,
02:50then Fittipaldi has made his way through,
02:54then has dropped in Dirksen,
02:55then Intrapu-Vizak with how they've played out of the pit lane.
02:59John Bennett has stopped as well.
03:01So we'll see exactly what's happened to Bennett.
03:06But here you can see the rest of the field now joining the back of the safety car.
03:11There goes his teammate, Van Hooppen.
03:13So John Bennett, I think, is coming to the pit lane to retire the car.
03:16So Beganovic and Dunn are going to be on the hard now.
03:19Now, Rotomo Miata is going to be on the hard compound tire as well.
03:27He's gone off.
03:29That's the second time.
03:30You've seen him off at that part of the circuit.
03:32John Bennett off at turn 11.
03:36So that's a real shame for him.
03:39Interesting.
03:40We'll see what's gone on then for John Bennett.
03:46So here is Nikola Solov having a look down the outside of Mary Boyer,
03:52who gets pinched by Olly Gertha.
03:55Solov's off the road, has to let Gertha back through
03:58because he's been off the road.
04:00Mary Boyer is going to look to come with him.
04:02And then camera finds his way around the outside as well opportunistically.
04:06There's a bit of a shovel between the two of them.
04:11Yeah, it certainly wasn't there.
04:14Right, here we go.
04:15Let's have a look at the front wing detaching.
04:18So as a result then, a bit of damage to the front wing for Solov,
04:21who loses that bit of front wing later around the lap.
04:26Then here is a really opportunistic move.
04:29Well, that's one way to put it, isn't it?
04:31On the exit of turn two.
04:34And camera, just too aggressive there, isn't he?
04:37On Olly Gertha.
04:38A bit of frustration and puts him straight in the outside wall.
04:43Yeah.
04:44Shades of Canada, wasn't it?
04:46We saw a similar move from camera around the outside there.
04:49Amazing.
04:50And Victor just fully crashed into me.
04:52I was going to get the point as well.
04:54The question now will be, I mean, they're not in tremendously point-to-tame positions,
04:59but will there be any kind of penalty for camera?
05:03It seems that there might be a chance there would be for that contact with Gertha.
05:09And what will that mean in terms of a championship challenge?
05:13We finally, Chris, have an order of the cars that I believe will continue on to the end of the
05:21race.
05:22Yes, you can see them taking...
05:35The only thing that might be damage limitation, if you like, is Solov would move up to P10.
05:43That would be just a single point that he would score.
05:48So to take advantage of what looks to be a penalty in coming there for the camera,
05:55Solov will need to make some ground.
05:56But that could be the only damage limitation thing.
06:00But, yeah, he won't be happy with that one watching it back.
06:04Let's see what kind of pace they now all have through to the end of the race.
06:10So with the tyres that they've landed on, as we've mentioned,
06:15so Birganovich and Dunn and Miata are now going to be on the hard.
06:22Fittipaldi, I believe, started on the hard and now will be on the soft.
06:27So we'll be in a decent position.
06:28You can see them roll through.
06:29Yes.
06:30And there is...
06:31Dirksen.
06:32Dirksen on the soft compound tyre.
06:33Intrapovizak's on the soft.
06:35Stenzhal's on the hard.
06:36As we go further back, Mini looks to be on the hard.
06:39Boyer on the soft.
06:41So that is a...
06:43That is...
06:45Are we getting a penalty?
06:47I don't know.
06:49But in any case, I want to finish this race.
06:51In case we get it, we take it today and not get back home.
06:55Okay.
06:56So, uh...
06:57Yeah, so a new rule as well this year.
06:59If there is a post-race penalty, it carries over as grid drop to the next feature race.
07:05So that is what the team are speaking to him about there.
07:08Remember, he served the penalty in Monaco, so it didn't carry over.
07:13Yeah.
07:14Indeed.
07:15So...
07:16So the soft compound tyre has in general been better this weekend over more or less the full stint.
07:24That's the way it's played.
07:26Although, the hard compound tyres of the three leading drivers are newer than anybody else's in the build.
07:33So we're looking at a newer hard, which has been tricky to get up to temperature
07:37and not been quite as performant against several drivers further back on an older soft.
07:44Although, it must be said that Dirksen's are new as well, aren't they?
07:47Because he was one of the drivers that pitted under the safety cut.
07:52So he will have a decent set of tyres underneath him.
07:55And I would say that he is a driver to watch, as is Intrapovozak,
07:58who's now used all of his softs, available for the weekend in this race.
08:03Great strategy from the ART team.
08:07Nothing really to lose with Sanepovo-Intrapovozak there.
08:11And that was the call they made coming into the race.
08:15And it certainly worked for them.
08:16And those drivers who stayed out, Miata, Fittipaldi, Paganovic in particular,
08:22done, being rewarded for that call.
08:26And Paganovic retaining the lead.
08:29And there you can see the car of Bennett, which went off down at turn 11.
08:33He definitely made contact with the wall there on the right-hand side,
08:36because you can see the damage.
08:38Let's be patient.
08:39Let's see what happens in front.
08:40Maybe it can be crashes.
08:42And maybe we take good points, you know?
08:44So don't risk fully.
08:46Let's be clever, OK?
08:47OK, OK.
08:48Doesn't seem like a ridiculous gamble, does it?
08:50With the way that the weekend is played out.
08:5210-second penalty for camera for causing a collision.
08:55Yeah, so he'll look to get that served in this race now.
09:02Solov, P10 then, effectively, it will be for him.
09:05That'll be a single point.
09:06So that would increase his championship lead from 8 to 9.
09:10But as the team's saying to him there, look, anything can happen in this race.
09:14There's a chance of some incidents up the road.
09:17There's a chance drivers can pick up penalties.
09:19Just let the points come to you now, I think, was the call there.
09:22Yeah, and anything can happen.
09:26It's looking like it's reasonably ready to go racing again.
09:31And the safety car will be in this lap.
09:33So lap 21 of 32.
09:34The pit stops are out of the way and have been done.
09:38You've got Dino Beganovic, who's been super strong all weekend.
09:41Less strong.
09:42Hard compound tyre.
09:44The ever feisty Alex Dunn behind him.
09:48Rotoma Miata, who took victory yesterday
09:50and is having a stellar weekend himself
09:53and a brace of drivers on the softer compound behind them.
09:59Running longer appeared to be the better strategy.
10:01And running longest gave you a safety car for a free pit stop.
10:05That's how it's played out so far.
10:06And let's see how it's going to play out from here
10:09with Dino Beganovic once more taking them to the flat.
10:12Has a chance to pick up a first feature race win.
10:17Here there's Dino Beganovic.
10:19But Alex Dunn wants to be back on the top step of the podium.
10:23Has had to wait a little while to get there.
10:25OK, into turn 20 comes the Ferrari Driver Academy member.
10:29We are ready to go racing.
10:31Once again in this feature race and up towards the final corner we go.
10:35And you can see Dino Beganovic was really eager to get on with it there.
10:39Takes us into the final corner and it's the Dams driver
10:41who will lead us over the line.
10:44Alex Dunn in second.
10:45Rotoma Miata is now up to third.
10:47And Fittipaldi the first of the soft tyre runners.
10:49Alex in fourth.
10:50Yeah, Fittipaldi making his way down towards that first turn.
10:53You can see there the drivers as they make their way through.
10:58So, married Boyer could be under a bit of pressure here, couldn't he?
11:00Having pitted very early on.
11:02He's on a big tyre offset now to the rest of the field behind him.
11:06So, he the driver with the older tyres.
11:09Although, it hasn't appeared to make a huge amount of difference throughout the race so far.
11:14A bit of a lock-up for Fittipaldi through the middle of six.
11:16Yep, Dirksen right behind him as well as they head up to the bunker.
11:21And you can see him just taking a slightly defensive line.
11:24Got to feel sorry for Boyer.
11:26The race was really starting to come to him as it looked.
11:30Just pointing out there, Alex, Montoya and Bennett.
11:33An incident between them noticed.
11:34Yeah, I wonder if that was a miscommunication as the safety car came out between Montoya and Bennett.
11:40And that might lead to some explanation of how Bennett ended up in the wall in turn 11.
11:46In any case, we continue down.
11:48Dirksen putting a bit of pressure on Fittipaldi as they make their way to 13.
11:53Camera with that 10-second time penalty for causing a collision.
11:59So, you can see the graphic next to his name.
12:01An opportunity to take points out of Nikola Solov has slipped through his fingers as we go into the final
12:10third of this race.
12:11And Beganovic has already broken the DRS, overdone.
12:14Yeah, really massive pace throughout this weekend so far.
12:18Dino Beganovic set pole at a canter and now is in the process of taking off.
12:25Going to be interested to see what Solov does now.
12:26Whether he tries to push forward towards camera and make the move or whether he sits there and takes the
12:33point swing.
12:34Hard interplay for him because he would have liked to take more points away from this feature race than that
12:41and try to extend the gap.
12:43But to do so, he will have to pass a guy with not only a 10-second penalty, but also
12:49the guy that he's battling in the championship and put his car at risk.
12:52Yeah, that's a very good point.
12:54And so, as I think the team was saying to him, let the places come to you in this one.
13:01There are drivers further forward, not in a championship fight at all and just looking to get the big results.
13:08And Emerson Fittipaldi has driven very well this weekend, is one of those.
13:12Did very well yesterday to get his first podium.
13:15Could he make it a double?
13:16And you can see Joshua Dirksen, who took both wins at Monza, all of a sudden finds himself in a
13:23fight for the podium along with Tosanopo and Cipurazac.
13:26DRS available this time around.
13:28But Viganovic has the gap to Dunn and Dunn in turn has the gap to Miata.
13:33So it's going to be Miata, who's under pressure from Fittipaldi and Dirksen behind.
13:39And you can see those gaps playing out.
13:41Moving the background, Mini down the inside of Stenshaw and absolutely loves that corner.
13:45Gabriele Mini, now he is the driver, third in the championship, 30 points back from Kamara and Solov.
13:52And I'm sure the team would have been on the phone to him to tell him the opportunity is there
13:56to get yourself well and truly back in this championship fight.
13:59Yeah, he's got pace, hasn't he, Mini?
14:01And he seems to be the driver who's most comfortable making the moves between the walls here.
14:06This is the battle pack that we've been talking about with Dirksen having to show a little bit of patience
14:11here.
14:12Appears to have the pace if he wants it.
14:14On board with Kamara and still trying to make the move on Boya, who, as you can see, the car
14:21moving around through the exit of turn 20 there has proved difficult to crack at this stage of the race,
14:28despite falling away from Martinius Stenshaw onto the tune of 1.9 seconds.
14:32I'd say Mini could be the one to watch over the next few laps as Kamara's going to go around
14:37the outside into the first corner.
14:39That's the move he wanted to make last time, but goes wide on the exit and Boya's going to go
14:44back through.
14:44Yeah, Boya easily picks the pace back up again.
14:48Kamara's going to have a look as they make their way down to turn 4, but Boya will have the
14:51inside line when they get down towards 5, and it depends how brave he can be on the brakes.
14:56Not brave enough, Kamara's going to take it.
14:58That's a nice move from Rafa.
15:00Kamara is carrying that penalty, but will look to build a gap over them as Solov now goes through ahead
15:06of Mari Boya up to the bunker, and they're all coming tiling past the Spanish driver.
15:10Almost let them through there, didn't he, Boya?
15:12He recognises he's not got the grip at this stage of the race.
15:15It's not played out, despite the fact it looked at one moment to be likely his race.
15:20Mari Boya will now be suffering all the way to the end on a Solov compound tyre that's done a
15:26lot of work.
15:27Yeah, got a feel for him.
15:28He looked like he'd made a great call at his home race here, our first feature race at the Madring,
15:35and the places were coming to him.
15:37He was looking at a possible podium finish at one stage, but Mari Boya now struggling to stay in the
15:43points.
15:43I think Gabriele Mini's the one to watch here, Alex.
15:46That gap to Sanopo Intra Poubizac is coming down very quickly, and you already made the point.
15:51He looks comfortable making the overtakes.
15:53He does.
15:54A lot of drivers inside the white line there in Turn 15.
15:57I'm not seeing it come up on the race control screen massively, but as this race wears on, you can
16:04see drivers having to use more and more road.
16:07You're checking in with Sebastian Montoya, who's trying to make the move on the Van Amersport, Billy Gomez, through the
16:12final sectors of the lap.
16:13He's now on the soft compound tyre, having moved across from the harder compound in his stop.
16:18And then having a look at the Van Amersport as they make their way through El Parque, back on to
16:23the start-finish straight.
16:2525 laps of this one now complete, and it's wearing towards the end, isn't it, with a nice gap for
16:31Beganovich, and a nice move for Montoya down the inside of Billy Gomez in one.
16:35Yeah, big send from him.
16:36No further investigation between Montoya, who we're watching there, and Bennett as well, who is out of the race.
16:43Dino Beganovich, electric pace out front, his teammate Roman Bilinski, trying to get himself into the points, and he's behind
16:51the championship leader.
16:53Nikola Solov would be in the points as it stands with Cameron carrying that penalty, and we're just hearing now
16:59that it will be a timed race, so eight minutes plus the additional lap.
17:04Yes, a relatively slow average speed, along with a couple of stoppages, have meant that this one will then run
17:12to time.
17:12It's normally plus a lap in Formula 2, but, yeah, so we've got seven minutes and 50 seconds to run.
17:20A lap is around one minute 40 seconds, or one minute 50 seconds almost, so, yeah, we're not quite going
17:27to get to the full distance, are we?
17:29No, it's 32 laps or 60 minutes plus the additional lap, whichever comes first around this feature race.
17:37So, it will go to time, but I think we will get enough laps in to get the full points
17:43awarded for this race.
17:45We continue to watch Roman Bilinski behind Nikola Solov.
17:49Well, that's already there, aren't we, at the full points distance.
17:54Nikola Solov, under a bit of pressure, will now move into ninth position at the flag as a result of
18:01the penalty for Cameron,
18:02who will descend well out of the points, but they'll continue on through this one and just try to see
18:10more can play out.
18:11There could easily be another stick in the tail, although a safety car at this point could easily see it
18:16end underneath that safety car, couldn't it,
18:19with only six minutes to run.
18:20What are you watching?
18:21It's Vittipaldi trying to hang on to fourth from Joshua Dirksen,
18:24who picked up his set of soft tyres in the stop, as Vittipaldi did, but looks to have a bit
18:30better pace than him.
18:31Yeah, Alex Dunn really closing that gap.
18:33This is Dirksen trying to get by Vittipaldi, up the hill they come.
18:38Behind that is Intrapuvizac.
18:41Vittipaldi has lost the DRS to Miata, so having to deal with a lot of pressure here from the Invicta
18:47driver.
18:47Yeah, it's going to be big pressure, isn't it?
18:50Down the front straight and then down towards turn five in the two chicanes,
18:54able to stay low up through the Monumental, Joshua Dirksen.
18:58And there's another move available that we've seen Gabriele Mini taking several times on the way down to turn 13.
19:04Dirksen sitting just inside the white line there on the way in,
19:09and not choosing to show the nose this time to Vittipaldi,
19:13but the more he's able to harry him, the more he can get him to defend.
19:17Mini joining this fight now in seventh place.
19:21There he is in the pink Alpine Junior colors in the background, closing in seventh place as it stands.
19:29Sanapo Intrapuvizac, his next target, is the driver third place in the championship,
19:34looking to close in on the top two.
19:36An opportunity is now there, but overtakes pretty difficult around here, we've seen in this race.
19:43But Mini's been the one that's been able to find him.
19:45He's got to find 30 points, hasn't he, from somewhere.
19:48Gabriele Mini to get himself back into this championship.
19:52And these are the kind of drives that he needs.
19:54He's been so attacking throughout the full race distance here, getting nice clean moves done as well.
20:00Vittipaldi now the cork in the bottle for these guys.
20:02So he's moving backwards from Rotomo Miata.
20:07Vittipaldi is lightning fast out front.
20:1147-1 that time around.
20:13Fastest lap of the race.
20:14You can just see looking to the outside there was Joshua Dirks and had to think about it.
20:20Vittipaldi dealing with the pressure well and had to do so on his way to a sprint race podium yesterday.
20:26He's taken a big step forward as a driver and to come to a circuit like this, where no one's
20:32been to,
20:32and arguably the least experienced driver on the grid go through to take a podium, is incredibly impressive.
20:37And a fourth place to go along with that would be such a good weekend for the AIX driver.
20:42Really would be a breakthrough, wouldn't it?
20:44As you mentioned, his first podium of the season yesterday in the sprint race.
20:48But he's got Joshua Dirks and all over him now.
20:50Could it be a move to the inside of 13?
20:52That's deep.
20:53They'll be side by side going into the corner on the exit.
20:57Vittipaldi holding on to the position.
20:59Incepu Vizak with the best seat in the house there.
21:02Mini still continuing to close in, but that a first big look from Dirks.
21:06Hence-up driving from Vittipaldi, played that absolutely right.
21:09Gave him space on the apex and then just carried on with his corner.
21:13Dirks is going to have to think of something else.
21:15And I think that something else will be full use of the DRS down the front straight.
21:19Exactly that.
21:20That's where we are coming to now.
21:22This is the final three corners of the lap into turn 20.
21:26Got to get a good exit out of here.
21:28And this is arguably the closest Joshua Dirks has been.
21:31And you can see he's continuing to firing his way up the championship standings.
21:37This would be a good day for him and for Beganovic as well.
21:40Picked it up a couple of laps ago.
21:41A few track limits violations starting to come in, especially through turn 18 and 19.
21:48And also turn 15 where drivers are skipping inside the apex there.
21:53Nobody yet with any kind of penalty as a result.
21:57But we'll wait and see.
21:58Oh, Nikola Solov there with Roman Belinsky behind him trying to get himself into the top 10.
22:05And you can see Rafa Kamra has charged off in the distance now.
22:09And Roman Belinsky will be side by side.
22:11He'll have the DRS Nikola Solov without it.
22:14And going in towards the 5-6 chicane, that's going to be Roman Belinsky into the top 10.
22:20He's got Solov under pressure now, isn't he?
22:22And that is not what he needs because he needs to be punishing Rafa Kamra for having the 10-second
22:29penalty.
22:30Kamra actually with pretty good pace at the moment.
22:3349-0 last time around.
22:36Caught pretty much everyone apart from Miata and Beganovic ahead of him.
22:41So, actually, it is beginning to progress.
22:44But I think the gap of 10 seconds is going to be too much for him to extend.
22:49Yeah, but let's have a look back at Intrapubizac then, which is behind this Dirksen fight.
22:56Oh, there we go.
22:57Dirksen skipping across the chicane there and rejoined.
23:01And Intrapubizac just having to get out the throttle.
23:04Yeah, almost like he caught the pit limiter there while he was catching the car.
23:09You saw the flashing lights go on.
23:12And I wonder if, actually, as he's fighting with the car, he's caught the pit limiter, which is what happened
23:17through the exit.
23:19But, in any case, Intrapubizac having to get well out of it.
23:22Weather also, Dirksen got up a little bit too close to Fittipaldi there and had to check up.
23:29But it's lost him around nine-tenths of a second either way.
23:32And he's only just stayed within the DRS.
23:3690 seconds remain.
23:37Dino Beganovic is driving absolutely tremendously out front.
23:42He's almost five seconds clear of the rest of the field.
23:46We continue to watch Gabriele Mini in seventh place.
23:49Black and white flag for Noel Leon for track limits.
23:53That means next time around, if there are further infringements, it will be a penalty.
23:59So, we need to stay watching that one.
24:02And, indeed, he's deleted another time in turn 15.
24:05So, we'll see if that turns into a penalty for Leon.
24:07Yeah.
24:08Leon down in thirteenth place.
24:11And here we can see Mini trying to pick up another position.
24:14Intrapubizac does not have the DRS to these two here.
24:17And Fittipaldi continuing to have to hold off Joshua Dirksen.
24:22And this is the corner where Dirksen looks to get the run.
24:24And we'll try and get down the inside into 13.
24:26There you can see a good run off La Monumentale for Dirksen.
24:29He's going to sell the dummy on Fittipaldi.
24:32Textbook stuff from Joshua Dirksen.
24:35And that will be fourth place for the Invicta driver.
24:38Lovely clean and tidy stuff down the inside.
24:40Had to deliver the dummy on the way in.
24:42But Joshua Dirksen has so much more speed, doesn't he?
24:45Off turn 12 with that low line.
24:47Had to open up the inside for himself.
24:49But nicked the position eventually.
24:51That's absolutely lovely stuff there from Joshua Dirksen.
24:56We're getting towards the end of the race now.
24:59Dino Viganovic leading from Dunne.
25:02It's going to be two podiums this weekend for Rotomo Miata.
25:07Can Gabriele Mini pinch another place as we get towards the final lap?
25:11And it's three purple sectors.
25:12And the fastest lap of the race.
25:15A second clear of Dino Viganovic by Alex Dunne.
25:18Wow.
25:18That's confused me.
25:20Was that pace available throughout the rest of the race?
25:23And if so, why is he sitting four seconds behind Viganovic when there's potentially a race win on the line?
25:29I wonder if Dunne had not been told that the race is going to time and thought he had more
25:35time to play with to the end of the race.
25:39Mary Boyer down to the inside of Nikola Solov with what looked like a relatively easy move.
25:44Although Solov is across the runoff area and will surely have to see the position.
25:48And this is not what Nikola Solov needs with Rafa Kamra having that penalty.
25:53He needed to be extending his championship lead and now he's falling back behind his teammate.
25:58It's a disaster for Solov.
26:00A sense of resignation in the way that he allowed Noel Leon to make his way through as well there.
26:05Now Leon is going to have a look at Boyer as they make their way up to the bunker.
26:09And is that contact?
26:11It is between the two of them as they make their way to turn seven.
26:14Yeah, Noel Leon there locking up the brakes as they headed up towards the bunker.
26:19And now they head down through the chicane.
26:22You can see Noel Leon there past his teammate now, Solov.
26:26And I think he might be right there.
26:28Knows that maybe the tyres have just fallen away from him perhaps.
26:32But you can see now it's Van Hoopen next in the queue behind.
26:35Yeah, nothing left to fight with.
26:37He's going to let Van Hoopen make the move up to the inside.
26:39In turn 13, Nikola Solov progressing then backwards through the pack.
26:45And there aren't going to be points for him today.
26:47The best he can do is try and keep the car out of trouble.
26:51Fortunately for him, there are not going to be points for camera either.
26:54Gabriele Mini is the driver in that championship battle who's going to be closing in with an outstanding drive.
27:01Yeah, it's been a really good drive from Gabriele Mini to get himself up into seventh place.
27:09He started outside the top ten.
27:12So Gabriele Mini there will take points out of both the drivers ahead of him in the championship.
27:20As the drivers make their way onto the start-finish straight once more.
27:25And we heard it on the radio a little bit earlier.
27:28I guess the drivers don't know how much is left in the tyres, how much to push.
27:32We heard a little bit of that from Dino Beganovic earlier, didn't we?
27:35Is Solov dropping back the field even more now?
27:38Yeah.
27:39Bizarre.
27:40Is it that front wing damage?
27:42It could be graining.
27:43It could be graining in the tyre.
27:45But for whatever reason, it's not Nikola Solov's day.
27:51Battles hard to try to make the move past Mary Boyer.
27:55And it's really not worked out for him.
27:57On the flip side of the coin, it has definitely worked out for Dino Beganovic.
28:01On a weekend, I think, in feature race terms at least, where he can tout dominance this weekend.
28:09It's not always worked out for Dino Beganovic.
28:11Sometimes he seems like the unluckiest driver in Formula 2 history.
28:15But this weekend, he's been peerless, the Ferrari junior.
28:20Yeah, last time we saw Dino on the top step of the podium, it was the sprint race at Baku.
28:25But now he's going to win on Grand Prix Sunday in Formula 2 for the first time.
28:32Dino Beganovic heads up to the final corner.
28:35And he will take his very first feature race win in Formula 2.
28:40It's Dabbs Lucas Oil's Dino Beganovic, who takes the top step of the podium.
28:45And he is over seven seconds clear from Alex Dunn in second place.
28:50And it's going to be two podiums out of two here at the Madring for Rotoma Miata.
28:56What a weekend for the high-tech driver.
28:58Joshua Dirksen in fourth.
29:00A superb weekend for Emerson Fittipaldi in the top five in both races.
29:05Intrapuva's hat comes right from the back.
29:07And without any qualifying to finish in P6, then it's Mini, Stenshawn, Belinsky and Kamara.
29:13But Dino Beganovic unbeatable this weekend.
29:16So Kamara does just stay inside the top ten with the final lap.
29:22Eight-tenths of a second between he and Mari Boya.
29:26So we'll grab a point after all of that as a result of his pace.
29:32Yes, Dino, yes.
29:33That's the way to do it.
29:35Great job, man.
29:36Great job.
29:43What a comeback from Monza.
29:46What a comeback from Monza.
29:48Thank you, guys.
29:49We didn't put the foot from today.
29:52Not put the foot from.
29:53Oh, congrats.
29:56Fully deserved from Dino Beganovic.
29:59He's been absolutely superb.
30:01They've done no laps around here when they turned up for practice on Friday.
30:06And Dino Beganovic getting pulled by two and a half tenths and then winning the beach race by seven and
30:10a half seconds.
30:12Great job, mate.
30:12Great job.
30:13You get the fastest lap by seven tenths.
30:16That was the lap of my life.
30:18And the lap of my arms.
30:20It was really, really tough.
30:22Good job, man.
30:24We've got at least one more weekend to try and get the point we deserve, and we made a really
30:28good set this weekend, but I think you can all be proud of.
30:31Good job, everyone.
30:33Well, I've sent to the physicality there from Alex Dunn.
30:37I'm not surprised holding these cars through the long, banged turns.
30:43Impressive stuff from all of the drivers.
30:46And what a great weekend for Rotome Miata.
30:48Very, very good drive.
30:49Very, very good job.
30:51Thank you, guys.
30:52Sorry, Icebrook will climb higher.
30:54Special 6-0-2.
30:56Sorry for that.
30:57But then again, we'll finish the podium again.
31:00Thanks so much.
31:30His third podium in Formula 2.
31:35And also, my mum was here all the weekend supporting me.
31:41She had to leave for the airport a bit earlier, so she told my mum that she didn't see the
31:45finish.
32:14Huge well done to Dino Biganovic there.
32:16With the new venue, where something like that can happen to you on the set of tyres you're on in
32:22the race, and there really is very little you can do about it.
32:25He had to leave for the 18th place finish at the end.
32:31Has he carried damage there, actually, looking at him?
32:33Yeah, well, his last lap, he was 11 seconds slower than Dino.
32:38Yeah, so you've got to imagine he had some sort of vision.
32:43Yeah, he's got a damaged steering arm, hasn't he?
32:45Which we didn't spot as he was making his way round.
32:51But, so that's the result for Nikola Solov.
32:56Yeah.
32:58Perhaps just brushed the wall somewhere, and that's all it takes.
33:01He did have that contact earlier in the race as well, didn't he, where he picked up front wing damage.
33:05Yeah, and a bit more with camera as well.
33:08Yeah.
33:09Through the middle of the bunker, so I'm wondering if...
33:12Relatively light, though.
33:15But not the performance that Solov...
33:17Well, that goes some way, doesn't it, to understanding the pace.
33:21It's for Solov through to the end.
33:25Speaking of pace, Dino Viganovich, 7.3 seconds clear from a standing start, effectively, well, from a restart.
33:35With, you know, with 12 to go or slightly less because we went to time.
33:40But that is, that's truly impressive, the way he's driven away from the field there.
33:45Yeah, he's done so, so well.
33:46He's had a really tough miss watching at times.
33:50Dino Viganovich whilst racing in Formula 3 and Formula 2.
33:54But this was a show of his true pace.
33:57And we came to the Madrid, no one having ever turned a lap around here before.
34:0345 minutes to learn it.
34:04And no one, no one could keep up with Dino Viganovich this weekend.
34:09On pole by 2.5 tenths and clear by 7.5 seconds from the rest of the field.
34:15Well done to the Swedish driver.
34:17He'll remember that one for a long time.
34:19You can see what it means to him.
34:22To get a feature race win as well always goes a long way for these drivers.
34:26First win of the season for Dino Viganovich.
34:29Hard to believe considering some of the pace that he's shown.
34:34But the driver who came in to this weekend, 7th in the championship, will surely be getting a boost as
34:40well.
34:41It was a nice drive from Alex Dunn.
34:44Found a lap in there, didn't he?
34:46Yeah.
34:47Towards the end, slight surprise, I think, over the radio from Rodin on the lap that he was able to
34:56deliver.
34:57All good data for them at that stage of the race.
35:01And it's all come good for Rotomo Miata.
35:06He delivered an impressive victory yesterday.
35:11Yeah, breakthrough victory for him.
35:13Breakthrough weekend in some ways, isn't it, for Rotomo Miata?
35:18Yeah, absolutely.
35:1912th in the championship coming in.
35:21Hadn't been the strongest year with Hitek.
35:26But found himself on the top step yesterday.
35:30And then on the podium once more today.
35:34And looked like he deserved both in terms of pace, didn't he?
35:37Yeah.
35:39Absolutely.
35:40Yeah, Rotomo Miata looked very strong this week.
35:45And Dino Beganovic, huge, huge congratulations to him.
35:49He could see how proud he was of that, how happy he was.
35:54But found pace where no one else could across all three days, really.
35:59Yeah, lovely set of restarts as well.
36:01Well, the team, I think, did him a service, not jumping too early.
36:08Because, of course, the safety car was such a factor in that race.
36:11It would have been easy for those leading drivers to jump immediately as soon as they were threatened from the
36:19drivers behind.
36:20But Dino Beganovic and Lucas Oil Dam chose to stay out there.
36:25Turned into the right decision, of course, with the intervention.
36:27But you've got to have the calm mind to get yourselves in that situation.
36:34And that's what they did.
36:35Yeah, that's something he could brag about for a long time as well, isn't it?
36:38Coming to a brand new circuit and being the one that got up to speed with it the fastest as
36:44well.
36:44Yeah, you've got to be there as well to make that strategy work out.
36:49And he got up to speed beautifully, dams with the simulation software, of course.
36:55There's a significant amount that goes on before these new venues have done him a wonderful service.
37:03And then he's put the cherry on top of the cake.
37:05Yeah, taking it all in.
37:07Dino Beganovic's seventh in the championship.
37:10Had a tough couple of rounds coming into this, but he'll have a boost up the standings.
37:16And Alex Dunn continuing to get the podiums in.
37:18He's racking them up this season, but been a little while since we last saw him there.
37:23Barcelona Feature Race was the last one.
37:25The former driver with the Prima Racing team.
37:28So good to see that team congratulating him as well.
37:33As the drivers now head off and get ready for the podium ceremony.
37:38A little bit of a commute down the pit lane in the electric buggy.
37:46But it's always worth it, isn't it?
37:48For the podium ceremonies, especially after a drive like that.
37:54Well, here's a familiar voice as well.
37:57Let's hear from Alex Jakes now, who is speaking to our feature race winner, Dino Beganovic.
38:04Dino Beganovic, that was pretty special.
38:08On pole by two tenths of a second.
38:10Feature race winner by seven seconds.
38:13Tell us how you did it.
38:15Yeah, I think from FP, the car felt very good.
38:19And it feels extra good to come here, do this result after a tough weekend in Monza.
38:24So, yeah, I got to thank the team, the AMS.
38:28They always work very hard.
38:30So, it's all credit to them.
38:33How satisfying is it that everyone started with a blank piece of paper, new circuit, and you've mastered it?
38:39You know, I love these kind of challenges.
38:42You know, everything is reset for everyone.
38:44You come to a new track, no reference.
38:46And then you just got to go drive on your instincts, you know?
38:50So, yeah, I love it.
38:52The same thing in Miami and Canada this year for F2.
38:55So, yeah, love these challenges and hopefully more in the future.
38:59The next race that we're going to is in Baku, where you won before.
39:03A lot of confidence for your first ever feature win as well in a category.
39:07You've driven brilliantly in and you finally got the reward today.
39:10Yeah, like you say, it's been a lot of up and downs.
39:14Sometimes we didn't get the result we deserve, but today we definitely showed it.
39:18And actually, you know, before the weekend I saw some statistics of the biggest winning margin in F2.
39:24And I was like, man, I need to be somewhere close to that on Sunday.
39:28And, you know, it was not bad being seven seconds front.
39:31Well, there was a lot of chaos behind, but it was plain sailing at the front.
39:36Congratulations and go and celebrate it.
39:38Thank you.
39:38Dino Boganovich.
39:42Oh, seven and a half seconds isn't too bad.
39:45I believe it's just shy of 20 at Bahrain.
39:48And so, yeah, it's going to be strange, isn't it?
39:53Formula 2 will always give you an extreme result now and again.
39:58The man asking the questions knows very well.
40:02Just drops in to ask the questions at the end now, doesn't he, Alex James?
40:06Floats above the broadcast.
40:10It's the cool-down room now, so you're not going to get a response to that.
40:14There was a barrio up front.
40:17Yeah, there is concrete.
40:24Oh, man.
40:36My arms are so dead, man.
40:38The steering was so heavy.
40:44I don't think I can open the bottle even.
40:48Hey, the soft tire was nice.
40:50Yeah, it was really good.
40:51It was much better than the hard tire.
40:54For me, the steering on the soft wasn't that bad.
40:57It was really heavy on the hard, but it was fine on the soft.
40:59Yeah.
41:01The soft tire was so much better than the hard.
41:05I just felt like it was worse, just less grip on the hard.
41:16I just felt like I said, it didn't sense.
41:28I was able to pull the good part in my opinion.
41:35Oh, wait.
41:37I think I'll give this good moment.
41:37Oh, wait.
