00:00But then we got to the night game.
00:01It's the Chiefs and the Lions, two and a half point spread.
00:04Total in this one is 52 and a half.
00:07Just sidewise here.
00:08How strong are you feeling heading into this game?
00:11I think it's a pretty tough call.
00:13It's tough because the Chiefs are at home,
00:15but I'm still willing to back the more consistent team.
00:17The team right now with the better offense, I believe, is Detroit.
00:21And I think their defense is just as good as Kansas City up until this point.
00:25You saw Kansas City get exposed by Jacksonville
00:27and some of the other teams from an offensive perspective.
00:30I think Detroit has the weapons to challenge them.
00:33They went in here a couple of years ago and got the victory.
00:35I think they're coming out with a victory as well.
00:38Total, I'll take a shot.
00:39I do feel tight ends.
00:41LaPorta could be an option today because of how Kansas City defends tight ends.
00:45But give me the over.
00:46Yeah, I think it's fun, Joe, to see that the expectations are
00:49the Chiefs are going to be fly high.
00:52A high-flying offense once again,
00:55which is where all of the numbers check in this one.
00:58Let me just ask you this.
01:00If the Lions do win this game,
01:02especially for someone like yourself who has been so, you know,
01:05early season at least, you know, strong on a team like the Eagles,
01:09would you then see the Lions as the best team in football?
01:13Yes.
01:13Again, because seeing what happened with Buffalo last week
01:16and where we are, you have to go.
01:18They'd be winning five straight games.
01:19Yeah.
01:20And you talk about margin and identity.
01:22I know Detroit has an offensive identity again.
01:25It was a little bit in flux after week one with a new play caller,
01:28but now they're developing into the offense that we saw last year.
01:32They're opportunistic on defense.
01:33They stopped high-powered offenses.
01:36They shut down Jamar Chase for three quarters in garbage time.
01:39I mean, they're playing their best right now.
01:41So if they go into Arrowhead and win this game convincingly, yeah.
01:46I mean, it's not to take away from the Eagles,
01:47but the Eagles have a serious situation inside the locker room right now
01:51that needs to get fixed.
01:53No, look, I think for Philadelphia, the game against the Giants absolutely,
01:56you know, should be knocking them down when we talk power ratings
02:00and things like that.
02:01I think for the Lions, you know, this is a group who over the summer,
02:05I remember considering, you know, as a potential Super Bowl future
02:09because I thought the defense would be better.
02:11I had questions about what the offense would look like,
02:13offensive line changes and no Ben Johnson.
02:14They're answering the bell on both sides of the football right now.
02:18I think Dan Campbell makes a very compelling coach of the year case.
02:20I know Shane Steikton right now is, you know, the lead dog.
02:23Those new coaches, Liam Cohen, these guys get, you know, Mike Vrabel,
02:26they get a lot of love in the market.
02:27But we talked a lot about the guys who left for Detroit.
02:30And right now, Detroit looks pretty similar to, you know,
02:33who they were last year.
02:35Well, Dan Campbell's the one who stuck around,
02:36so he deserves a lot of credit for that.
02:38But speaking of last year's Lions, season fell apart
02:42as the defense continued to face injuries.
02:45And I do wonder for Detroit, sometimes it doesn't get better.
02:52Like the Niners and all their injuries, right?
02:54It's like, oh, last year was bad, this year will be fine.
02:56And then it just, it wasn't.
02:57It just keeps getting worse.
02:59I just think it's something to follow.
03:00On the KC side of it, though, Joe,
03:02again, you can't stress the importance of this one.
03:05Because, again, 0-2, it's like, look, we played two weeks.
03:07You know, relax, right?
03:092-3, hey, we lost the coin flip game.
03:132-4.
03:15I mean, listen, I understand that, you know, these are good teams.
03:17They lost, but 2-4 is 2-4.
03:182-4 and 2-4, a loss to the Detroit Lions, right?
03:22Right.
03:23If they lose.
03:24Right.
03:24And a loss to the Eagles that beat them in the Super Bowl.
03:26That tarnish is starting to wear off now,
03:29where they could just walk out there and beat any team.
03:31They can't.
03:32It happened on the primetime matchup.
03:34They got exposed.
03:35And I think for the Chiefs, you know,
03:39the year they beat the Niners in the Super Bowl,
03:41when Purdy was the quarterback,
03:43they had to play some road games, right?
03:45They had to go to Buffalo.
03:46They had to go to Baltimore.
03:48The idea of Kansas City being a wild card team,
03:51that was very jarring.
03:52Had a loss here today.
03:54Denver already won this morning.
03:56Chargers are booked as favorites.
03:58If you have multiple 4-2 teams.
04:01Yeah.
04:01That's why their win total was 9-1⁄2.
04:05It's one thing when you're chasing one team, right?
04:08That you have to pull back into range here.
04:10So, I think it's a bigger game for Kansas City.
04:13They're booked as favorites.
04:15I actually lean Kansas City on the side.
04:18But, again, I've mentioned it.
04:19Jameer Gibbs rushing yards over 65-1⁄2,
04:22my favorite bet in that game.
