00:00Strictly Come Dancing has finally waltz back onto our screens for another year,

00:03but the show has already been rocked by the surprise withdrawal of one of the 15 stars.

00:09I'm National Worlds TV and tech expert Matt Monhexon,

00:13and join me to find out what's happened in the world of Strictly this week.

00:17Strictly had its launch show on September the 20th, which sort of kicked off the new season.

00:22It's preparing for its first episode on September the 27th.

00:25That's week one, the start of the show.

00:28And unfortunately, one of the early favourites has had to withdraw from the competition.

00:33Reality TV star and television personality, Danny Dyer, daughter of Danny Dyer,

00:40has had to pull out after suffering a fractured ankle in rehearsals.

00:45So she had a fall last week, the BBC have said,

00:49and after a scan it turned out that, yeah, it was a fractured ankle

00:52and she wouldn't be able to continue in the competition this year.

00:55So that's one person down already.

00:59They haven't said whether they will replace her.

01:02It might be a bit too late to replace her.

01:05So Danny Dyer has left the competition.

01:07She's the second person to withdraw this year.

01:10Game of Thrones actor who played Hodor in the TV show, Christian Nairn.

01:15He was announced for Strictly this year, but then withdrew a couple of days later.

01:21He was replaced by Emmerdale favourite, Lewis Cope, who is actually the early favourite.

01:28And Danny Dyer was one of the three early frontrunners, along with Lewis and Ellie Goldstein.

01:34She's obviously not going to win Strictly come dancing in 2005,

01:37because she's had to withdraw through injury.

01:39So hopefully she recovers soon and maybe she will return for Strictly one day,

01:45maybe a Christmas special in the future.

01:47But the first proper episode is on Saturday, September the 27th.

01:54It starts at 6.55pm and it's a bumper special.

01:58All the celebs are going to be dancing for the first time and there's no elimination.

02:02So that's really, really nice way to start out the season.

02:05So yeah, grab your dancing juice and prepare for the road to the Clitterball Trophy.
