00:00At Digital Ascension Group, we offer our clients some of the best security in the world when it
00:04comes to institutional custody for their digital assets. But what if you don't have $100,000 to
00:10hold with institutional custody with us? Well, that's what I want to get into today.
00:16So there's a lot of different cold wallets on the market. I've used them all. You've got a ton of
00:20different ones out there. For me, what I think the best cold wallet on the market is, is Decent.
00:26I had the pleasure at the XTC event in Austin, got to review their product, see what they were
00:31building, have one myself. I think it's the best thing out there for self-custody and cold storage
00:37in that application. There's three main things that I look at when deciding what cold wallet
00:44solution or self-custody solution I would want to use. And so those three things are the security of
00:51the product, how user-friendly is it, and then like how intuitive the interface and also the device
00:59itself. And I would say that Decent is the best of all those, all in one. So the security features on
01:07it, obviously it has a seed phrase, but this also has a biometric, which you can sign transactions with.
01:14The biometric function makes it super easy to send transactions and do things with the device.
01:19So all you got to do to be able to add your index finger or your thumbprint is just click into the
01:25settings and then you'll go to security. It'll enter your pin that you put in, and then you'll
01:32roll your finger around on the sensor there and it adds whatever finger you want. So again, thumbprint,
01:38index finger, whatever's going to be best for you makes it super easy to send transactions with this
01:43device. One of the really cool things about this is it actually offers a 25th word to the seed phrase.
01:49So most of them are 24 words. You write it down on a piece of paper, you hold that somewhere,
01:53maybe you have multiple copies. But for somebody to actually recreate this wallet, they're going to
01:58have to have that 25th word. And if they don't, then they can't. So you're going to keep that to
02:05yourself. You know, maybe you don't write that down or get it exposed. And so that's an extra layer
02:10of security added here that other products don't have. Um, when it comes to the user interface, um,
02:18why it's so user-friendly is it's a huge screen in comparison to some of the other ones on the
02:22market. And there's just four buttons, right? So pretty simple. Um, and you can, you can navigate
02:28that pretty easily. Um, the other benefit is you can hold multiple wallets for each asset on the
02:36device, right? So a lot of other ones, you might just have one wallet for your XRP and one wallet
02:41for each cryptocurrency that you have, uh, your Bitcoin, your ETH, your XLM, you know, whatever
02:46you're holding. Um, but with this, you can actually have multiple wallets on the same device. So you
02:51can have a backup wallet, or you can segregate things out. Some of the other cool features here,
02:56uh, it supports other languages. So a lot of the people that are watching this are going to be
03:00English speaking, but, uh, that I thought that was pretty cool. One of the other benefits of this
03:05device in particular, uh, above the other ones is the battery life, right? So I don't know if you
03:10have used these other cold wallets. They really don't last that long. They need to be plugged in
03:16almost every time you have to update the firmware. It just, it's complicated. Um, and one of the
03:21benefits here is you don't have to charge it that often. So, uh, the battery itself is very long
03:25lasting. It can last up to a month with no charge and it's Bluetooth accessible, big advantage there.
03:31Uh, and then you can have everything right there on your phone. You can do everything you need to
03:35right through that. And again, it's got the biometric to be able to sign transactions.
03:39So if you didn't have the seed phrase, if you didn't need to restore your wallet,
03:44you know, I think that this is a really good way to hedge yourself. Uh, and obviously you want to
03:50make sure your family members have access to this stuff, but the biometric makes it super secure and not
03:55somebody else isn't going to be able to really hack into this. I mean, it's almost, almost
04:00unhackable. Right. Uh, and that's the benefit. Um, and then last, you know, there's just so many
04:06wallets out there that don't have everything that people want to hold on a wallet. So in the
04:12institutional custody, for example, we have access to 31 assets. There's a ton of other assets that my
04:17clients hold that we're looking for an option for right now that I wish we could hold in
04:21institutional custody that I think decent is perfect for. So like HBAR, XLM, XDC, you know,
04:28V chain, maybe quant, but there's just a bunch of other stuff. And then I have clients that have huge,
04:34uh, huge catalogs of NFTs that they've purchased too. Uh, and I think, you know, as far as solutions
04:42go, decent is the best for all of those. Um, it also has access to open C, uh, where you can exchange
04:49those NFTs. Um, you can buy, sell, trade all that stuff right through the application on your phone
04:55there, direct to your wallet. And, um, yeah, I just think that they've made this super easy and

05:06point where you can hold things in institutional custody, or you have assets beyond the scope of
