Khushboo Patani, sister of actor Disha Patani, rescued an abandoned baby girl in Bareilly.

00:17A former army officer, Khushbu, said she had to climb over a wall to reach a crying infant with visible injuries.

00:40Patni then went on to inform local authorities and the child was taken to a local hospital.

00:47Shortly after the incident was reported, a woman searching for her missing daughter came forward.

00:58According to the woman, she'd been traveling to Bihar when she handed her crying child to an unfamiliar man to help soothe her.

01:04She says he fled with the baby.

01:06Patni later called the incident heartbreaking, pointing to how poverty can lead to moments of desperation.
