00:25Malaysia and Singapore as key trading nations play a crucial role in the global supply chain
00:31with the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone strategically positioned to support key industries.
00:39We understand that each country in ASEAN will have its own challenges, which have its own concerns.
00:46So we will approach this both at the multilateral platforms through ASEAN
00:52and other platforms that are available, that we are members of.
00:57And at the same time, bilaterally, we also continue to engage the US.
01:02I think it's important for countries like Malaysia and Singapore,
01:06which is very much involved in the critical part of the global supply chain.
01:12And after all, we are an open economy. We are a very trading nation as well.
01:17So, again, this is where, you know, JS as a exec is important
01:22because we are in a geographical location where that supply chain
01:27that is supporting many industries go pass through this area.
01:35And I think it's important that we continue to highlight this to all our partners,
01:41including the United States, of how Malaysia, Singapore, JS as a exec, ASEAN,
01:47all can play an important role in supporting the global supply chain.
01:52And it is actually and will benefit the world and definitely will benefit the United States as well.
02:00He said this during his keynote address at the inaugural JSSEC Joint Business and Investment Forum
02:07in Prasada Johor, Johor Bahru, today.
