High-pass filter was used for the soft-spoken ones, since the droning of the HVAC system to the left was washing it out.

00:00I think we've all seen the the interconnections of genocide in Turtle
00:21Island to Palestine and I think how it's it's so important for us to to to see
00:28those interconnections and to think about how people are imprisoned in Turtle
00:35Island like indigenous and black community in similar ways as Palestinian
00:42prisoners in Palestine and as an Anishinaabek person it's so important for
00:49me to to stand with Palestinians in in this moment as we we are facing a rise
01:00of the commodification of our lands here to push forward this war and this this
01:09genocide on the Palestinian people our lands here especially in this rise of
01:16our conservative governments are seeking to to commodify our lands in mining and
01:25to further harm our people to find the genocide in Palestine and we're also
01:32seeing the closing of safe consumption sites for shame that are directly
01:39affecting indigenous community to prepare to perpetually kill and separate
01:47indigenous people from our lands here so as an Anishinaabek person I'm seeing the
01:53the genocide as as one that we need to to rise with as indigenous people here and
02:00to stand with our community and our health workers in Palestine that are facing
02:05these alone much like indigenous people have faced the settler colonial society in
02:12Canada so
02:14America
02:21thanks
02:23I'm Amina I'm from Jerusalem Palestine first I want to thank Tiana and all the owners of this land for
02:31welcoming me in really warm and loving arms and I think what's happening now in
02:38happening now in Gaza and the genocide in Gaza is really showing what the empire is doing.
02:43So basically what we're seeing now, we're seeing, we're seeing it in like live on Instagram.
02:48So we're seeing bombs and whatever the other word is, being thrown from the airplanes to
02:55literally burn people alive, burn children alive, burn men alive.
02:59And also food was thrown from these airplanes.
03:03So we're just, I mean, we're just fucking seeing the genocide that is really killing 90, 95% of the population of the earth
03:13happening in a small place like Gaza being streamed, being streamed and live, being streamed like the earth.
03:20So we're all in this together. Shame on this world. Exactly. Shame on this world.
03:28We're all in this together. And fascism always, always, always feeds on fear.
03:32And if we are silenced, this empire will kill us all. From the single poor mom, from indigenous community,
03:40from a black community that goes every day into this capitalist, genocidal society that we live in,
03:46to bring food for her own kids, to the people who are surviving in Gaza, to the Anishnabis,
03:52to all people in Africa, all over the world, in all the contexts in the world.
03:57We are all suffering from this genocide. It's happening now in Gaza.
04:01We are seeing them being killed now in Gaza, alive.
04:05But it will kill all of us, everyone, each of us, if we're not all together in it, in order to dismantle that empire.
04:14Maybe it's a good tactic now to focus on Zionism, because Zionism is like a really strong brick of this empire.
04:27So if we're going to focus kind of, but not saying that the Palestinian genocide is only happening in Palestine,
04:34it's happening everywhere, but it also could be a tactic of dismantling this empire.
04:39And I think that the Palestinian prisoners, similar to indigenous prisoners, similar to black folks and prisoners,
04:45who all people of color are prisoners, have, the Palestinian prisoners movement,
04:50have turned the prison cells into revolutionary spaces, where they started, where they,
04:57where they start, where they start, where they do educational circles.
05:03Because, you know, they educate the little children that they arrest.
05:06They educate the women. Also, the women do the same thing inside the women prisons.
05:12And they produce literature, they produce love letters to their loved ones, they produce poems,
05:18they produce everything from these cells that are supposed to oppress them,
05:23supposed to contain our, you know, our longing of living a really just free and liberated life.
05:31But instead, they turned it into a revolutionary space that fuels all the streets of Palestine.
05:37And also, with all the other prisoners, people in prison, or prisoners movements,
05:46that fuels all the streets in order to dismantle this empire.
05:50And for all of us to live liberated, I always say, or I've been saying it's only 30 years for the past five years.
05:58So, I think we need to continue this. Hopefully, my estimation of 30 years is right.
06:04But it's very important to know that we are next.
06:08If we're not being, if the bombs are not being thrown now,
06:10they're going to be thrown on us again next, all of us.
06:13So, yeah, we're all in it together.
06:25Can we do another round of applause for our speakers?
06:29Shame!
06:33Many were taken while working and have been tortured and neglected.
06:40We have been able to get names, photographs, and information about 181 of them.
06:48To our knowledge, there have been four healthcare workers killed in detention during the genocide.
06:56Shame!
06:57We will be highlighting the four healthcare workers killed in detention,
07:06and the 181 that we were able to get information on.
07:11We apologize for any inaccuracies.
07:14It's my honor to share with you a little bit about the four healthcare workers, our colleagues in Gaza,
07:19that we know died in detention, torture, and murder by the Israeli forces.
07:24Dr. Adnan Alborch was born in 1974 in Jabalia, trained as an orthopedic surgeon in Romania, and returned to practice in Gaza.
07:35He later did complex fracture training in the UK before returning again to Gaza, where he did a Masters in Political Science.
07:43He worked at Al-Shifa Hospital, where he was head of orthopedic surgery and beloved.
07:48In December 2023, Israeli forces raided Al-Awka Hospital, where Dr. Borsh was working temporarily.
07:55He was abducted from the hospital by the Zionist entity and taken into prison, where he was brutally tortured,
08:02first in the Seitemen detention camp, and then in Awka prison, where he was killed one year ago tomorrow, April 19, 2024.
08:12His body to this day remains in Israeli custody.
08:17Murderers!
08:21Dr. Yadah Al-Rantisi was 53 years old and head of the obstetrics department at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
08:29On November 10, 2023, he was helping family evacuate to safety, wearing scrubs, when he was abducted by Israeli forces.
08:38He was tortured and killed a week later in a Zionist interrogation center, but news of his death was hidden from his family for more than six months until June 2024.
08:49His body also continues to be held in custody.
08:52Murderers! Murderers!
08:55Dr. Yadah Alba was a senior paramedic at Nasser Medical Complex in Kanuna City, was detained by the IOS forces on December 2, 2023, along with four other paramedics,
09:08while transferring patients in a previously organized convoy from Al-Shifa to the southern hospital through the so-called Israeli dedicated safe route.
09:18Ten months later, his family was told he was killed. The circumstances remain unknown.
09:25Dr. Yadah Al-Dalou was abducted by Israeli occupation forces from Al-Shifa Medical Complex in March of 2024 during the second Israeli raid of Al-Shifa Hospital.
09:39He was a nurse and the deputy director of the internal medicine department at Al-Shifa.
09:44The circumstances of his death are also unknown, but he died also while in Israeli custody.
09:52The Zionist entity is responsible for all four of these deaths of our brave colleagues from Gaza.
09:58I think as we read these names, it's important to remember that this is not new, this is just an epitome, a pinnacle of what Israel has always done.
10:11The prisoner movement is a major part of the liberation, the national liberation movement of the Palestinians.
10:17And these people who have been in prisons come out and go back to their hospitals, go back to their operating rooms, go back after people where they've been starved, humiliated, and living in concentration camps.
10:30I think it's important when we speak their names to remember why they're there and the fact that despite all that is being done to them, they stand, they resist, they go back to look after their people knowing that they may die any moment.
10:43Their children die, their children die, they bury them and go back to their jobs.
10:48That is Palestinian resistance, that is Palestinian resilience, and that is why we will win.
10:53That is why we will be victorious.

12:35They sit down next to buildings that are demolished,
12:38who have people under them, and they can't get them out.
12:40They wait for them until they die, so that they're not left alone,
12:44and they go back to their work.

21:51These are only 181 names
21:54out of 360
21:56healthcare workers
21:57that we are aware of
21:58There are many more
22:00They all have their stories
22:01They're all being brutalized
22:04at this moment
22:05We're seeing the way
22:07our prisoners are being released
22:09We're seeing the way
22:11they're not able to walk out
22:13They're sent from the torture camps
22:15straight to hospitals
22:17These are people
22:19that you need to remember
22:20You need to move around the world
22:23knowing that there's over
22:24360 healthcare workers
22:27that are currently being tortured
22:30every second of every day
22:33Basic human rights
22:36is not something that they get
22:37Water
22:39Food
22:40The sun
22:40The freedom to sit
22:42The freedom to lay down
22:43That's not something
22:45Palestinians get the privilege of doing
22:47in torture camps
22:48There's over 10,000
22:51political prisoners
22:53who are currently being tortured
22:55Once again
22:57over 10,000
23:00Palestinian political prisoners
23:02who are currently
23:03feeling tortured
23:05It is the bare minimum
23:08that we show up today
23:10that we stand together
23:12to read their names out loud
23:14It's the bare minimum
23:15that we stand here together
23:17The actions that we do
23:19are the bare minimum
23:20The people of Palestine
23:21are being tortured
23:22Families are being erased
23:24Homes don't exist anymore
23:27in Gaza
23:28Over 600 homes
23:30have been demolished
23:30over 41,000 people
23:35are currently refugees
23:36without homes
23:37in the West Bank
23:38in Janine
23:38and Tul Karim
23:39These are things
23:41that you need to move
23:41around the world
23:42and be extremely aware of
23:44Our people
23:45are being
23:47destroyed
23:48by the minute
23:49But our resistance
23:51is stronger
23:53than any rocket
23:54they throw our way
23:55Our people
23:57are strong
23:58Our people
23:59are resisting
24:00Our people
24:01are standing up
24:02against occupiers
24:03against the genocide
24:04against rockets
24:06that are being funded
24:07by the colonial entity
24:09that is so-called Canada
24:11and so-called
24:12the United States of America
24:14Us being here today
24:18is a step forward
24:20Us reading their names
24:21out loud
24:22is a step forward
24:24It is our duty
24:25to fight for our people
24:26in Palestine
24:27It is our duty
24:28to stand up for them
24:30We are their voices
24:31We have the power
24:34to make change
24:35We have the power
24:36to shut down streets
24:38We have the power
24:39to shut down buildings
24:41We have the power
24:42to shut down the highway
24:44in the middle of rush hour
24:45because we as a collective
24:47we have the power
24:49and we are here
24:50to stay
24:51and we will show up
24:52day after day
24:54minute after minute
24:55if that's what it takes
24:56for our voices
24:57to be heard
24:57and if that's what it takes
24:59for a two-way arms embargo
25:00to be reached
25:01with this colonial
25:03genocidal entity
25:04that is so-called Canada
25:06We have another list
25:15of names
25:15We have a song
25:17that is being performed
25:18to us
25:18As we come to a close
25:20today
25:20I'm going to ask
25:21all our healthcare workers
25:22to come up to the front
25:23and to link arms
25:25We're going to be
25:26symbolically blocking
25:27this embassy
25:28this murderous embassy
25:30that is killing
25:31our families
25:32our fellow healthcare workers
25:34there is no room
25:36for the Israeli
25:37murderous ambassador
25:38in Turtle Island
25:39There is no room
25:40for any genocidal entity here
25:42So we're going to link arms
25:44get everybody in
25:45We can make two lines
25:47if we need to
25:47And I'm going to be
25:50singing a song
25:51that was traditionally sung
25:53by the resistant
25:55healthcare workers
25:57in Gaza
25:57who refuse to abandon
26:00their patients
26:01even when they get
26:02orders that the
26:03electricity is being
26:04cut off
26:04that the neonatal unit
26:06is being shut down
26:07that patients are being
26:08blessed
26:08or being told
26:09to evacuate instantly
26:11which all of us
26:12working in healthcare
26:13know is not possible
26:14to evacuate wards
26:16and floors
26:16and medical buildings
26:18and patients are dying
26:20they die in their incubators
26:21they die on their way out
26:23yet the healthcare workers
26:25who swore an oath
26:26like we all swear
26:27to do no harm
26:28and to be there
26:29for our patients
26:30refuse to leave their side
26:31They sang this song
26:33we heard them
26:34as they remained stationed
26:36we sing it today
26:37in their honor
26:38I'll sing it once
26:39and feel free to join in
26:40if you know the lyrics
26:41and it essentially means
26:43we will remain here
