00:00My favorite reunion of the season is obviously you and Stassi back together.
00:05You know, why was it important for you to bring her back into the mix?
00:09Obviously, everything that happened after Vanderpump Rules.
00:11Did you maintain this relationship over the years and why was she the perfect person to bring on board?
00:16Well, I love having somebody to play with.
00:18I don't want to be, you know, the boss all the time.
00:21It's fun to have somebody to banter with.
00:23And I can't really be as casual with my staff as I would be with a friend, so to speak.
00:30I think we didn't have a scene there where I say, you know, how do you feel to be back?
00:36And I think she said, I never wanted to leave.
00:38I'm not sure if that's still in there.
00:40It was very poignant as well because it was a sign of the times and her actions.
00:46But I'm a great believer and I feel the world is changing again.
00:52Our attitudes.
00:54I'm a great believer.
00:55I hate this cancellation policy.
00:58I hate the fact that they expect people to be exemplary and not make mistakes.
01:03And, you know, I grew up, I got married at 21.
01:06I was quite mature for my age, even buying my own house without any help from anybody at 19, 20, well, flat, apartment.
01:14And then getting married very young.
01:16But we all make mistakes.
01:18We do.
01:18And if a lot of our lives were on television, up for, you know, public kind of speculation, I'm not saying we'd all get it right.
01:27So she did something that was totally inappropriate and it was not the way.
01:33And she learned from it.
01:35And I really felt, in a way, but it was a sign of the times.
01:38And I understood why they did it, that it, I would have rather kept her, chastised her and let her learn from her mistakes.
01:45But I've always been about that, really.
01:48Did you ever have conversations where you said, I want to bring her back?
01:51I want to see this play out on the show.
01:54Were you kind of in, you know, everybody's ear about that?
01:57It was a very difficult position for me.
02:00I wasn't consulted.
02:02Now, if you remember, I started Vanderpump Rules.
02:05I gave them the cast because I had a few hundred people working for me at the time.
02:09I thought this was the group, you know, because they were so closely connected.
02:14But I wasn't really consulted and everything was in such disarray at the time.
02:19I couldn't say, but for sure, I always wanted her to come back, always.
02:24But, you know, it was sometimes time is a great healer.
02:29And I thought she would be great and she was ready to play.
02:33And we were very happy to have her.
02:36And there was a definite feel-good factor about her coming on to the show.
02:40And we had a lot of fun together.
02:42And also, it felt right.
02:44She wanted to be for years and she had a wonderful time with her family, for sure.
02:51Right.
02:51I mean, you could see the growth, but you could still see a little old Stassi sprinkled in here and there, which I love.
02:58Did you see, have you seen an overwhelming amount?
03:00I mean, she's had two kids, you know, family and things like that.
03:03So, obviously, she's come a long way.
03:05Yes, she has.
03:06And she's responsible.
03:08And the Stassi, I mean, she's definitely still Stassi, which separates her from most people.
03:15And says things that most people wouldn't even think of.
03:18I think you see that in the trailer.
03:20But, yeah, there's an essence of responsibility, for sure, that has kind of continually grown and responsibility.
03:27And I think Beau's very good for her.
03:29But she's playful.
03:31I have great banters with her.
03:33But, yeah, she's not, you know, taking her clothes off and running into the water like she was when she first came to work with me.
03:40But, no, she's essentially the same.
03:42Right.
03:42And it seems like the two of you got along really well, too.
03:44This was definitely a good environment for the both of you.
03:46Yeah, we did.
03:48And, you know, when she would sometimes try and kind of run out of Vanderpump Rules, I'd always say, come on, you've got this great opportunity for you.
03:59And I think I've seen that with some of the people in Vanderpump Rules over the years, that the potential they've had and what they could do is just whether they choose to make the most of it or not.
04:09That's up to them.
04:10But, yeah, looking at them all, they're all doing pretty good right now.
04:14Ariana's doing something great.
04:15Sheena was just on The Masked Singer.
04:18You know, the girls started their sandwich shop.
04:22Lala's doing well.
04:23Tom's been on.
04:24You know, that's good to see.
04:26And as I say, I love to see growth in young people for sure.
