00:00Because yesterday we said that if, you know, if this guy loses to the Pistons, are they going to fire him?
00:06We actually brought it up on the show.
00:09What's your feelings about Tibbs and the Knicks and this series against Detroit?
00:13Because we said earlier today, you know, Detroit has, they've lost 14 straight playoff games.
00:17That's going to end.
00:19There's no way they're not winning a couple games in this series.
00:22I don't see the Knicks sweeping them in any capacity.
00:25No, I don't either.
00:27If you think about it, Detroit won three of the last, three to four games during the season series.
00:31Cade Cunningham going absolutely nuclear and being tough to stop.
00:35Listen, I brought it up yesterday.
00:36I had Michelle Beadle on the Betting Above the Rim podcast.
00:38And we talked about this.
00:40And I basically said, if the Knicks don't get out of this round, I think you have to look at Tibbs.
00:46They've gone all in.
00:48They've made the trades.
00:49You know, they get, obviously, OG last year for Quickly and RJ.
00:54You know, they give up the five first-round picks for Mikael.
00:57And then they turn around and they get, obviously, Kat and give up Julius and Dante.
01:03So there's not a lot of moves that they can make moving forward, right?
01:08So if they don't win in this round, he could be out.
01:12And, you know, Michelle Propp, an interesting name.
01:15Mike Malone's out there now.
01:17Mike Malone's father, Brendan.
01:19New York Knicks assistant at one time.
01:20Michael Malone, New York City guy.
01:23Michael Malone has a ring, has respected players around the league.
01:28If the Knicks crash out, Tibbs could be gone.
01:31And they got a really damn good coach.
01:32And Michael Malone is out there as a free agent that I think they would try and bring in.
01:36He is a really good coach.
01:38He definitely has a reputation now, though, as a guy that cusses out players and gives them the business.
01:46And they'd had enough of him in Denver.
01:48Is that not going to follow him?
01:51Well, Tibbs got.
01:52How many jobs has Tibbs got?
01:55Tibbs is the same way, right?
01:57I don't think he's the same.
01:58I know he's not the same coach he was when he came here.
02:01He's a lot different.
02:02No, I think he's a lot different.
02:04I also think that you had an interesting, you know, team over there in Denver and what they do and how they play.
02:12How it became a distraction for them.
02:14So, you know, yeah, yeah, he kind of crashed out a little bit.
02:18But I still think he would be a good coach for a team like the Knicks or maybe even a young team like San Antonio if Pop were to step down, obviously, for health reasons.
