00:00I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need
00:12And both the kids are on the autism spectrum
00:30Autism is not a disease, it's basically a condition
00:47It's a different wiring of a brain
00:50It's basically just a development of delay
01:00We were also thinking, why me?
01:25Adrian was around two and a half, three years
01:28He used to be so aggressive
01:30We used to even feel that as if there is some sort of a spirit come on him
01:36Because that is how we see in movies
01:49There are some good days and there are not some good days
01:52So we need to be positive, looking at the good days
01:55And then we need to move on
02:07Joanne is a very goal oriented person, a targeted person
02:11She believes in doing things as scheduled and on time
02:18And Brydon is just the opposite
02:21He believes in complete perfection and doing things at his own pace
02:25There were friends and relatives even coming to us and saying
02:52Why God has done it only to you?
02:55We used to avoid going into the lifts if people are there
02:58A lot of awareness has to be created, only then our kids will get more opportunities
03:09It's basically just the acceptance in the beginning that is required
03:14From individuals, from society, from teachers, from schools, from anybody
03:20It's the able and not the label
