She's a biker, a boxer, a policewoman... and a model. Eksha Hangma Subba spoke to Brut about her unusual journey.

00:00My profession and my passion is very much different.
00:20I didn't know that there were boxing classes in my village.

00:26My dad told me that I should go for physical fitness.
00:39My first teacher was my dad.
00:41When he was teaching my brother how to ride a bike,
00:44my dad told me that I should learn too.
00:46I said, okay, fine.
00:48My dad taught me everything about professionalism, bike riding and boxing.
00:56My mom used to tell me to watch me on TV.
01:06My mother used to laugh.
01:12There is a small state in Sikkim where government jobs are very valuable.
01:16I'm the eldest one and I'm the only one who is earning.
01:20So it's a huge thing for my family.
01:27I was so frustrated.
01:29I used to get so many punishments.
01:33It's a discipline course.
01:36You have to wear shoelaces with a lot of discipline.
01:39If the shoelaces go up and down, it's a punishment.
01:42At that time, I thought maybe this is the end of my dream,
01:46my passion and whatever I want to do.
01:56I want to give it a try.
01:58I want to be an MTV Supermodel of the Year.
02:18Earlier, I used to think, Iksha, what are you doing?
02:21But now I feel that I'm very lucky.
02:25Me as a cop and as a model, people are loving me so much.
02:39When I am in a uniform, I feel like that's the daughter of the nation
02:45and that's the daughter of my state and that's the daughter of my father.
02:48I feel very proud when I wear that uniform.
02:51That's my pride.
