00:00We're here with Anna Campbell-Jones at her house in Glasgow and ahead of Series 7 of Scotland's Home of the Year

00:08she's going to give us a preview of what's in the show this year.

00:12I wondered if you could tell us why we love Scotland's Home of the Year so much.

00:17I think we all love seeing how other people live.

00:22There's a kind of nosiness, like looking through the windows at night when someone's forgotten to draw their curtains.

00:29But also I think people watch it to get design inspiration because the sheer variety of approaches to what home means is just stunning.

00:37What can you tell us about the standards of the homes in this series?

00:41I'm always amazed that every season the homes just seem to get better and better.

00:48And also they continue to be different.

00:51I always say that every home is as individual as the people that live there.

00:56I think the number of homes that we could find that would all be different to each other is almost limitless.

01:01What in particular stood out for you this time? Is there anything that you just can't get out of your head?

01:05Something that I've seen emerge as the seasons have gone on is a greater and greater embracing of colour.

01:13So much joy, so much colour in the homes this season.

01:16One particular set of bed linen that I nearly stole would actually look perfect in here.

01:21What makes a house a home? What is it? What's the key element?

01:25For a home to really feel like a home, I believe that it should tell the story of the people that live there.

01:32That your home is a bit like a biography and that is a way of helping people understand who you are and what's important to you.

01:39And if you had the red heart for your favourite place in this house, where would you place it?

01:44If I had the red heart, I would place it on the window seat in my kitchen.

01:49Because when it's sunny, I can sit there, feel the sun on my back, sit with my cat, a cup of coffee and a newspaper, radio on, heaven.

01:56It's unbelievable that we've reached series 7 of Scotland's Home of the Year.

02:01I couldn't have imagined how successful and how popular the programme would be when it started out.

02:07And obviously, when I first appeared on the show, I'd never done anything like this before.

02:12But now I feel a bit like the old retainer of Shottie.
