EP 24. SURAH AL KAWTHAR ( 108 ) A RIVER IN JANNAH

00:00Do you know that when the Prophet was in great grief, Allah sent down this Surah to comfort him?

00:14The second son of the Prophet, Hazrat Abdullah, had passed away.

00:21The people of Quraish made fun of him.

00:24One of them, Aas bin Wael, called the Prophet, peace be upon him,

00:30Abtar, which means cut off or whose generation has ended.

00:36Like many other people, in the Arab world, the majority of sons were considered a sign of pride.

00:43The Prophet, peace be upon him, was already facing countless difficulties.

00:50And with this personal grief, the mercilessness of the people made the Prophet, peace be upon him, even more miserable.

00:59Then Allah gave him a very big blessing to comfort his most beloved servant, i.e. Al-Kausar.

01:09Al-Kausar is a house in heaven.

01:12And on the Day of Judgment, when everyone is very thirsty, they will gather in this house and quench their thirst.

01:20This is a reminder that all the blessings of the world, such as wealth, children, fame, are temporary.

01:30Whereas in the hereafter, the blessings of Allah will be permanent and limitless.

01:38At the end of this Surah, Allah said that in reality, the enemies of the Prophet, peace be upon him, will be Abtar.

01:49That is, they will be destroyed and their name and sign will not remain.

01:55This happened because the message of the Prophet, peace be upon him, spread throughout the world.

02:03The Prophet, peace be upon him, was mentioned everywhere.

02:08Whereas the name and sign of your enemies were destroyed.

02:12Al-Kausar also means the knowledge that was given to the Prophet, peace be upon him, i.e. the Quran.

02:21Which is still present among us and will remain until the Day of Judgment.

02:27Allah has commanded us to offer prayer and sacrifice so that we may be truly successful in the hereafter.
