Tex and Carol talk about their slice of paradise
Transcript
00:00Well, I love it very much. It's hicklety-picklety. It's got all sorts of things in it that people
00:11give me or it comes from my backyard that it gets too big and I put them here. But it's
00:16just something that I think enhances the street and it's something that I just love to do.
00:22When I got the photos and seeing that this has to be lost to a big retaining wall and
00:29two big buildings right just there, well it was a real shock because over 35 years, any
00:37time I've had a problem here, I've gone to the club and I've said to them, you know,
00:42I need to do this, you know, can you help with something? No, their boundary stops at
00:48the gutter was my answer. No, no, only to the boundary. When I've had trouble here
00:54with the waterboard, with the creek and needed something, no, no, no, no, we only own the
01:00creek. The council owns the rest. You go to the council, no, no, no, no, no, no man's
01:06land. So we got sick of asking for any help at all. So for all these years, we've just
01:14done it. And I've just, and Tex and I, we just love it. Yeah, so it is, and it'd be
01:22devastating if anything happened to it.
