Celebrating Asalha Puja (Dharma Day)

Welcome to Asalha Puja, also known as Dharma Day, a sacred day in the Buddhist calendar marking the beginning of the Buddhist religion. Asalha Puja commemorates the day Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. This day is celebrated as the moment when Buddha 'set into motion the wheel of Dharma' by sharing his core teachings, including the Four Noble Truths. In his first sermon, Buddha introduced the Four Noble Truths, which are the foundation of Buddhist teachings. These truths explain the nature of suffering, its causes, the possibility of its cessation, and the path leading to its end."
1. The Truth of Suffering (Dukkha)
2. The Truth of the Cause of Suffering (Samudaya)
3. The Truth of the End of Suffering (Nirodha)
4. The Truth of the Path to the End of Suffering (Magga)
Celebrate Asalha Puja by embracing the teachings of Buddha, participating in sacred rituals, and fostering a sense of community. May the Dharma guide you towards a path of wisdom and peace. Happy Asalha Puja!
