One Dead, Nine Injured After Out-of-Control Car Crashed Into Pedestrians

A car accident that occurred on Saturday in the Banan district of Chongqing, China, has led to one pedestrian being killed and nine injured, according to the local government.

At around 6 pm on Saturday, the 30-year-old driver, Mr He, was driving his car from Banan district to Nan'an district. Due to improper operation, the vehicle lost control and veered off the road near Jiugongli Railway Station, striking ten pedestrians.

He has been taken into custody by the police, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs has been ruled out. The accident is currently under further investigation.
