A savvy Brit flew to Romania for a spa weekend - which she says was £85 cheaper than in the UK.
Kara Wildbur, 23, and her mum, Bethan, 50, flew from Manchester Airport to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania, arrving at 11:25am.
The pair then heading straight to the Therma spa - which set them back £64 altogether - and then went to the hotel which cost them £94 in total.
For flights, accommodation and the spa, the weekend trip cost the pair £315 - cheaper than the £400 spa day in the UK.
Kara, a travel content creator, from Denbighshire, Wales, said: "I was trying to look for a last minute spa weekend in the UK.
"I found a spa near me, for a night stay, with treatment and afternoon tea it would have cost us £200 each.
"It shocked me, I didn't realise how expensive it was going to be.
"I started looking for spas abroad and found this one in Bucharest for £64 for the two of us and got it booked."
Kara and her mum flew from Manchester Airport to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania with Ryanair - the return tickets set them back £157
Once they arrived in Bucharest they headed straight to the spa and arrived within 30 minutes of landing.
While Kara and her mum were in the spa they visited the rainforest room for a full body scrub, went to the saunas and relaxed in the pools.
Kara said: "Mum absolutely loved it, it was one of the first holidays abroad for a few years.
"We pre booked out tickets before we arrived, they were two full day and all access packages.
"This included access to nine pools, six saunas, four wet saunas and 16 water slides."
After spending the day in the spa, Kara and Bethan went to the hotel and spent the following day travelling around Bucharest.
She said: "It was such a lovely day, we decided we wanted to explore and see what was out there.
"We did a walking tour of Bucharest, a tour of the market and had lots of nice foods."
The pair headed back to Manchester on Monday, March 10.

Breakdown of cost: Flights to and from Romania - £157 Arrival to the hotel - £94 Spa tickets - £64 Total cost - £315
00:00 This is how much it cost to fly me and my mum to the biggest spa in Europe located in Bucharest, Romania.
00:06 P.S. If you're my mum, you're not allowed to watch this.
00:08 For Christmas I knew that I wanted to treat my mum to a spa weekend, but looking at the prices in the UK was just extortionate,
00:12 so I decided to fly me and her to Bucharest, Romania to Europe's biggest spa.
00:17 I booked the flights through Ryanair, we left first thing on Friday and came back on the Sunday, and it was £157 for two of us.
00:23 This was literally just for the flights and just for the seat reservations because we didn't pay for any additional bags, we just went with hand luggage.
00:28 Next was the hotel, I booked this through booking.com and it was £94.50 for two nights for two people.
00:33 That works out to be just £23 a night per person, which is super, super affordable, but I definitely could have got a cheaper one.
00:38 But I decided to get a nice, high quality apartment for that price and I really, really recommend it.
00:42 Lastly, we need to discuss how much it cost to actually get into the spa.
00:45 So this is Europe's biggest spa and we booked an entire day pass so that we could spend the whole day exploring it.
00:50 Now it is absolutely massive, so I do recommend spending as long as you possibly can here and we absolutely loved the entire experience.
00:55 And it cost us just £64 for both of us to have full day passes to all areas of the spa.
01:02 So that is nine different pools, six saunas, four wet saunas and 16 water slides.
01:06 The only thing that this doesn't include is treatments, but they start for as cheap as £26 per person-ish and then they go up from there depending on what you pick.
01:12 So all in all it cost us £300, which is about £150 per person, and we were able to have a lovely spa weekend and visit a completely new country and explore what Romania has to offer.
01:22 So let me know what you think down below, would you try this too?
