I am in the right. I know I am.

Stifled until today.
You should be the one on your knees.

You should be the one swallowing my release.
Instead it's me.
Because I hurt your feelings telling my truth and I don't yet have the courage to stand up for my own rights.
I've been told all my life to be small.
Be less. Be quiet. Be amenable.
I don't know how to stand for my truth.
So I'm on my knees before you.
Making amends for hurting your feelings.
For making you feel small.
