00:26 And do you live locally?
00:28 I do. Well I used to live in Stubbington, but I'm now up in Portsdown Hill.
00:34 So, yeah, but we heard about the fire. I think I woke up about 7 o'clock and it was on the news.
00:42 And, yeah, it's quite sad really. It's one of my local pubs. I used to frequent it quite a lot in the summer.
00:49 And so we spent Christmas Day here. We all had a nice Christmas meal together Christmas Day.
00:55 It was lovely. Food was amazing. So, yeah, it's a bit sad to see it. I hope they rebuild.
01:02 And from speaking to other people locally, what's been the sort of general community reaction?
01:07 I think a lot of people are quite shocked. Yeah. Especially how ferocious the fire was.
01:13 Yeah, and when I was sort of watching it, I didn't worry about the neighbours.
01:17 Because obviously we've got the fire department and things like that.
01:20 I didn't get any damage, so they all looked fine. But, yeah.
01:24 It's quite sad. It's surprising how you sort of think, oh, it's just a local pub.
01:29 But when you actually sort of come and see it, yeah, it's quite sad really.
01:33 Because a lot of the community and a lot of the locals used to come here and meet up.
01:38 Especially in the summer. Yeah, it's lovely. Lovely place.

01:55 Okay, and, yeah, so what was your reaction when you saw that the pub had burned?
02:00 Absolute devastation. Such a shame because we've used it quite a lot in the summer.
02:05 We've used it for family celebrations.
02:08 We don't live far away, just down the road a couple of miles from Gosford.
02:12 But it's a really good day out usually, but it's gone.
02:15 So hopefully something will be placed here for some holiday.
