00:06 introduce yourself and what do you do here? Hi there my name's Mick I'm a

00:12 volunteer here I've been here quite a long time I normally look after all the

00:19 trains and track and the electrics and things like that I enjoy it here because

00:27 I can when you see the children and their smiles when they see all the

00:32 trains and such like it makes it worthwhile. Have you got anything new

00:39 here this this season? The only thing that's new is there there's a over in

00:47 the corner there there's a Rifleman's Tunnel yeah that we've allowed the

00:53 Whidley Museum Pumpy Pals to start putting a display in there

01:02 unfortunately it's not quite ready for viewing. Oh well that's something to look

01:06 forward to. Yes. And unfortunately the vandalism that you experienced recently

01:11 has that set you back from opening? It didn't set us back from opening but it's

01:17 caused us a lot of problems we we have on a regular basis vandalism by usually

01:29 15 16 year olds who come over the fences in different places most of the time

01:37 they're known the police know them their parents know them but when it comes to

01:42 prosecution or or any recompense we don't get it so we have to bear the

01:49 brunt of it all which is rather annoying yeah a typical thing we're on this

01:56 bridge they ripped all the tracks out and there so we've we've had to redo all

02:05 the tracks and one of the really bad ways they kicked in all the original

02:13 windows in this building and so one of the other volunteers Dave has had to sit

02:22 down at home and manufacture all those new windows. It must have taken him a

02:29 while. It did and it's so that's the sort of thing but now we've managed to reach

02:40 opening time and hopefully everything will be working. But it's really good to

02:47 be open back into the swing of things. Yes yes yes and it's nice to see you can

02:53 see a few people come in for the first day. Oh no I'm sure it'll be a great
