The Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is all-new for the 2024 model year but wears nearly the same outfit as the gas-powered Sprinter.

Pricing for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter starts at $74,181 and goes up to $77,611, depending on trim and options.

Mercedes-Benz hasn't released exact pricing figures yet, but we expect the eSprinter to be more expensive than its internal combustion-engined counterpart. Standard features include a heated driver's seat, two USB-C ports, and a load-sensing electronic stability control system.

The base eSprinter comes with a rear-wheel-drive electric powertrain that produces 134 horsepower, but a more powerful 201-horsepower version is also available. A 113 kWh battery pack is located on the underside of the eSprinter, between the front and rear axles. The eSprinter is limited to a top speed of 75 miles per hour, regardless of which power output you choose.

The eSprinter will offer 488 cubic feet of cargo space, just shy of the gas Sprinter's 533 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The eSprinter's maximum payload is 2,624 pounds; That's less than half the capacity of the gas-powered Sprinter, but it still translates into a large amount of cargo. While the automaker hasn't yet released an exact figure for towing capacity, we expect it to be significantly less than the gas-powered Sprinter's capacity.

The official EPA range estimate hasn't been released yet, but we expect to see it hit around 200 miles per charge. Mercedes says the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in as little as 42 minutes using a DC fast charger. The total charging time for a fully discharged battery will be over 12 hours using a conventional 240-volt outlet.

The eSprinter will launch as a long van with a high roofline and offer 488 cubic feet of cargo space; That's pretty close to what the regular Sprinter offers (533 cubic feet). Since it's a Mercedes, it's likely to offer more interior design than its main rival, the Ford E-Transit. Options to make delivery life more enjoyable include heated and swiveling front seats, heated windshield, electric folding exterior mirrors, air conditioning, electric sliding door and step, digital rearview mirror and more.

The eSprinter will feature the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz infotainment software, including voice control assistant. In addition to voice control, the system can also be operated via the touch screen, touch pad and steering wheel-mounted touch-sensitive buttons. A 10.3-inch touchscreen will be optional and cloud-based services will also be available.
