00:00 The Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link is on track to be completed as scheduled
00:04 by December 2026. MRT Corp CEO Muhammad Zarif Hashim said the company's subsidiary,
00:10 Malaysia Rapid Transit System Sindiran Berhad, must stick to the timeline agreed upon by both
00:15 Malaysia and Singapore. Earlier today, a commemoration ceremony was held marking the
00:20 completion of the connecting span of the RTS Link. Zarif said this represented a pivotal moment in
00:26 the overall progress of the RTS Link as it linked the marine viaduct of both countries.
00:31 With the completion of the connecting span, the RTS Link has reached 68% completion.
00:36 Zarif said the project will improve the nation's transport system by establishing a seamless
00:41 cross-border infrastructure. With the RTS Link, travel time between the Bukit Tjaga station in
00:46 Johor to the Woodlands North station in Singapore can be reduced to just 15 minutes. Currently,
00:52 a cross-border shuttle bus journey to Singapore ranges from 45 minutes to four hours, depending
