00:05 and specifically talking about piercing. This week we're going to focus on a

00:11 piercing well known as a Prince Albert

00:18 In one documentation it's assumed that Prince Albert has its name associated

00:28 with the Prince Consul of Queen Victoria in 1800. What was believed that Prince

00:34 Albert has got Peyronie's disease in order to straighten his penis he needed

00:39 this a ring connect to a chain to straighten his penis. There's a second

00:44 report that actually highlighted that this was a fashion in the 1800 where

00:51 Prince Albert has to wear this as a form of accessories but more recently many

00:58 historian as to disputed that and said there's no mention in court document of

01:03 Prince Albert having such ornaments. In fact Prince Albert apparently is not

01:08 that way inclined with his genitals or sexual behavior and therefore many people

01:14 actually believe that this is fabricated in the 60s and 70s by some Hollywood

01:20 piercer. But regardless of what it is the origin however we need to dwell into the

01:27 benefit and also the risk. Effectively Prince Albert is a ring that actually is

01:33 pierced through the urethra down towards a lower part of the penis through the

01:39 urethra. There's another form of it is called reverse Prince Albert which is in

01:44 the upper part of the penis or deep tissue Prince Albert which goes all the

01:50 way to the shaft of the penis in the upper part. Ouch! So all these are believed

01:55 to enhance sexual pleasure for both the wearer and also the sexual partner. In

02:02 fact what is believed is that because the penis itself has so much nerve any

02:07 ornaments that attach to it can enhance sexual behavior and sexual excitement

02:12 and that itself rubs on the vagina and the G-spot may enhance sexual

02:18 stimulation as well. However it comes with a price. Obviously the piercing

02:23 itself may be painful and when it's done non-sterile it may result in infection

02:31 and that can be quite nasty. Apart from that for someone who has a Prince Albert

02:36 or any form of piercing you stand a higher risk of sexually transmitted

02:40 infection, urinary tract infection. However in a more serious situation that

02:46 itself might even cause injury to the vagina or the anus whenever it catch

02:51 these tissues. So therefore for someone who wears it you really ought to be

02:55 careful and in fact sometimes after the removal itself might actually cause

03:01 something called fistula might result in urine leaking out the penis not through

03:06 one hole but two separate holes. For the following week we're going to talk

03:11 another form of body modification and this time we're going to cover something

03:16 quite unique it's called purling or the beading in the genitals. So if you are
