Explosive Situation: Arlington Home Engulfed in Flames During Police Search

A home exploded in Arlington, Virginia on Monday night as police were trying to execute a search warrant on a suspect inside the home. The explosion sent the home up in flames and prompted nearby evacuations. Earlier in the day, police had responded to reports of the suspect firing a flare gun approximately 30-40 times from his home into the surrounding neighborhood. Police obtained a search warrant for the home and were attempting to contact the suspect when he fired several rounds from what is believed to have been a firearm inside the home.
