00:21 -The transmission is blown up.

00:29 -It's Sunday morning.

00:30 We're about to leave Las Vegas finally.

00:33 We've seemingly broke the transmission.

00:35 We're going to drive home in third gear.

00:38 Car might not be happy about it, but we're OK with that.

00:40 And we started off our morning by running out of gas in the

00:44 valet of the hotel.

00:46 So I figure if that's the worst of what happens today,

00:50 we'll be fine.

00:51 -We got our bad luck completely out of the way.

00:53 We're set.

00:54 -Yeah.

00:55 [MUSIC PLAYING]

01:10 -We're at the Circus Circus Casino.

01:12 We stopped because we're currently getting Crusher

01:15 Cromero-like fuel economy.

01:17 For the good of the environment, we're going to

01:18 rejet the carburetor and get dirty again.

01:36 -So far, our exploded transmission has made it all

01:39 the way from Vegas to State Line.

01:40 No problems so far.

01:42 I hate that the video guy made me even say that out loud.

01:58 -We are at Arnie's Royal Hawaiian Hotel on our road

02:02 trip with the Rumble Bee.

02:03 And much like the abandoned horse trotting park that we

02:07 saw on the Crusher tour, this thing is an adventure.

02:10 Now apparently it closed down a couple years.

02:12 Jimmy, their son, is still floating around.

02:14 But he said we could kind of explore.

02:15 It's pretty cool.

02:16 When was the last time you saw a hotel with a good old

02:19 fashion key with a tag on it?

02:22 Look at this crazy wood ceiling up here.

02:25 Stuff looks like it was built out of pure hardwood.

02:37 -You know, it just isn't an adventure unless you find

02:39 live ordinance.

02:42 This is a fast wideband O2 system.

02:44 -Was.

02:47 Excellent device for tuning a car.

02:49 We used it this whole trip.

02:50 And then Fryburger decided it didn't look great in the photo

02:53 he was taking.

02:54 So he laid it on the ground outside of the car.

02:55 And when we left, he ran it over.

02:58 -It's reached the end of its useful life.

03:01 My dad's a TV repairman.

03:03 -Well, you can just replace the box.

03:04 -I had money on it still working.

03:06 It doesn't.

03:15 -So we came back behind the hotel and found this mint

03:19 Chrysler 300.

03:20 And I just bought it for $300.

03:23 And so now we have to come back here with a trailer and

03:25 pick up my new ride.

03:29 According to the Vintag here, it's a '71.

03:31 And part of the owner's manual.

03:34 -Check it out.

03:34 The missing hubcap.

03:35 You got all four of them.

03:42 -Oh, speaking of.

03:47 And we went into an abandoned motel just to check it out,

03:50 see if we could get stabbed to death.

03:51 While we were there, the owner approached us.

03:53 And he had a mint Chrysler 300.

03:56 It needs a little bit of work, but mint.

03:58 And I bought it for $300 just now.

04:00 -Where is that car going?

04:03 Your garage?

04:06 -Yeah, I'm not happening.

04:26 -We're in Yermo, California, which is a little town that

04:29 has the original Del Taco.

04:31 Which, if you're not from California's southwest area,

04:33 is a chain of Mexican food restaurants.

04:35 And it's all started right here.

04:48 -Dude, that's a wagon with a cannon on it.

05:20 -Just what I need at 9 o'clock at night before I go to bed.

05:22 Chili burgers.

05:49 -We did it.

05:51 Jammed this car together in about three weeks

05:53 after it had been sitting forever

05:55 and made that road trip with almost no fail.

05:57 We actually drove the Superbeam.

06:01 -We're getting better at this.

06:03 -We're going to fix that broken transmission and a couple

06:05 of other details here and there.

06:06 Get this thing to the drag strip and see what it can really do.
