00:00 The full alert status of the 2023 Barangay and SK elections will be raised from the night of the PNP election on Monday.

00:08 The PNP assured that the situation in the country is under control despite the alleged election-related incidents.

00:18 In the election areas of concern, there are four categories that are based on the authorities.

00:27 The areas that have no security issues are the green category.

00:30 If there is a suspected election-related incident in the past two elections,

00:36 there is a strong partisan political rivalry and the spread of armed groups, it is placed under the yellow category.

00:43 The orange category is for areas that have serious threats from the Communist terrorist group and other threat groups

00:51 such as the BIFF, Abu Sayyaf, and Maute group.

00:55 The red category is the highest-risk areas that need the additional support of the PNP and AFP.

01:03 These areas may be under the Komelek control.

01:07 Of the 40,000 barangays in the country, more than 300 are under the PNP and Komelek in the red category.

01:14 But it is possible that the numbers will change before the 2023 Barangay and SK elections on Monday.

01:21 In areas of concern, particularly those under Komelek control, we have allocated additional human and logistical resources

01:33 Security measures have been beefed up, including daily risk and threat assessments to preserve peace and order.

01:43 From later tonight, the pool alert status will be increased and the PNP will spread the 187,600 police in the entire province.

01:53 Until today, only 26 were reported as validated election-related incidents.

01:59 Despite this, the PNP said that the situation in the country is still under control.
