A police officer who used snapchat to groom over 200 girls will face life in prison. Lewis Edwards of Cefn Glas in Bridgend was found to have had over 4500 indecent images of children and pled guilty to 160 counts of child sex offences and black mail. His victims ages ranged from 16 to as young as 10.

Welsh rugby legend Leigh Halfpenny has officially retired from international rugby. He will feature for Wales in the uncapped game against the Barbarians next week, and will continue to play club rugby. The back played 101 games for Wales, scoring over 800 points, and also featured in 4 Lions tours.

Cardiff council has warned difficult decisions will have to be made after a funding gap of around 36 million pounds, which could rise to almost 120 million pounds over the next few years. An official called the funding gap frightening and said work will be done over the autumn to see where council money can be saved.
