Shortly after the Georgia Bulldogs defeated TCU 65-7, the PA announcer at SoFi Stadium made the official proclamation. For Georgia, it capped a season in which they went 15-0 and repeated as national champs. After outlasting Ohio State 42-21 in the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Peach Bowl, the Bulldogs jumped ahead quickly in the title game. They led 17-7 after the first quarter against the Horned Frogs and were never threatened as the rest of the way.
