This lick is in the key of A major blues.
This lick is played in the position of the diagram.
The first lick is almost A minor pentatonic scale, but with the major 6th. The major 6th adds more major feel.
And then the phrase moves to the higher position, which is just 1 octave higher and is the same notes as the diagram.
The first 3 notes in the higher position are the chord tones of A major triad (the blue-circled notes in the diagram).
